I've done online role-playing in some manner off and on for nearly twenty years. I started with chat rooms on AOL and IRC, back when having two phone lines to connect to an internet service provider was still a thing. Needless to say, I never considered myself very good at it, but it has always been something I've enjoyed and sought. A Pulitzer prize winner I am not.

I try not to limit the options of others by saying I only look for this or I only look for that, but being aimless seldom pays off. I prefer unconventional ideas even if the theme itself is one that's been played over and over (e.g. a pirate captain with religious motivation).

I do like supernatural ideas but when they exist on the very edge of human perception and are easily dismissed as unreal (tarot, voodoo, witchcraft) or they are based in science or theology (e.g . a vampire as someone with porphyria, a werewolf as a product of damnation).

Accidental heroes, generally flawed individuals, tongue in cheek takes on common ideas (the lamentations of an incubus reduced to online dating, the general saltiness of a newly turned vampire whose physiology no longer allows him the joys of narcotics).

I usually just create characters at my partners whim and a collaborative effort. Feel free to say hello.
