Hi! -insert awkward wave- You can call me Snow. I'll try to keep this short and sweet. I have been roleplaying for 20+ years. I've been on and off message boards for all of those years as people have come and gone. I've recently gotten into roleplaying on Discord - nowhere near as fun but affective when needed. I hope to get comfortable in a place like this and get to write with many of you seemingly nice people.

In the mean time... enjoy some delicious coffee - my favorite.

Welcome to the sanctum! Dang, 20 years of experience is awesome--in your experience, what is one of the worst mistakes an RPer can make in a forum roleplay? I'm just dipping back in myself after a looooong time away from it.

Oh wow, well, that's a loaded question! I think one of the main things that you can do for a mistake would be thinking that you are superior to other writers, especially the ones who aren't an expert like you may be. I think a, you miss out on the opportunity to teach someone, b, you never know what kind of stories you may miss out on, and c, you don't know how much it helps when you give someone a chance. I wouldn't be the writer I am today without the amazing people who have helped teach me and shape me over the years. I'm forever grateful, even if we don't speak for whatever reason. Without those people who I've written with in the past, I'd have nothing to show for.

Ha ha, yeah, in hindsight I guess the question assumes you can make mistakes in the first place. I love your answer though! I agree that as much as I love beautiful language, we should focus perhaps more on the substance of writing instead of getting bogged down by grammar mistakes, etc. :).
