Personality: Cadence is a male who holds much charm and pretends he doesn't notice. Sometimes he is playing the part, other times he really doesn't know the extent of his effects. Bards are known to exude a sense of adventure and charm that commonly draw women. Cadence is much more humble than most of his kind though, as most minstrels of his caliber would wallow in the harems they could draw in. He holds sense of honor and dignity outside of battle, and a cold ferocity when fighting. He could slit a man's throat with a smile, hiding the pain it brings him under the known guise of his mission.

Occupation: The role of a bard, as a minstrel is less of an occupation as it is a life style. Bards are naturally wandering soles, writing and playing their ballads across the land in taverns and on street corners. Spreading legends and hearing rumors. They have been and are often the best mode of transportation for any form of gossip or news. Cadence is just that, a wandering sole, playing his music for the entertainment of others, but he is more of an adventurer, than a chronicler of adventure. Often times he is writing the tales of his own adventures.

Equipment: Unlike most bards who commonly prefer to stick to classic weaponry such as a short sword or a rapier, Cadence is much more...equipped. The bard is armed to the teeth, carrying enough weapons on him to make a fighter blush. He carries a dagger sheathed in each boot, a hand crossbow on his right thigh and a throwing axe on his left, the latter glowing with some form of magic. His left hip carries a rapier, and his right a longsword, both also coursing with enchantments. Over his back, underneath his emerald cloak, he carries his father's greatsword, a weapon remaining sheathed for as long as anyone has known him. Clearly if the boy needs to unsheathe the greatsword, then the person he is drawing it on as fucked up.

Bio: Cadence was born a noble, the youngest son of the Lord and Lady in control of a collection of islands off the west coast of the continent known as the Dragon's Maw islets. His father, Duke Bassilio Mellow was the envoy of peace and balance in the land, a bard before him, carrying Melo's golden harp. His elder brother Fredrick, and sister Elanora were not magically gifted like Cadence was, inheriting his Father's Illusion magics and other such bardic spells from birth, along with the same mission that his father was first bestowed. Shortly after Cadence's birth his father was slaughtered on the mainland, sending his belongings back to the isles and to his grieving family. Out of all the people whom took it badly, Cadence's elder brother Fredrick took it the worst, leaving the island at the age of 18 to go and become a paladin, swearing vengeance for his father as his oath and taking up the coat of arms under a church of Pelor, the sun god. His sister on the other hand, while in her grief, learned to cope through love, finding herself in the courtship of the young prince of the human kingdoms of Ascalon, near the eastern side of the continent. Cadence was left alone, with his father's harp and his grieving mother, playing his music to help his mother remain calm. Years of this brought his mother joy once more, bringing her back from the depths of her despair and loneliness. As Cadence grew, she saw more and more of her husband in him, realizing that Melo had blessed the child with the same gifts she had given to Bassilio, and with it, the same charge. On the day Cadence left, she was ready to let him go, keeping a watchful eye on the horizon as her young man entered the world of savages from the lonely rock he had lived his entire life on.

In a way, the pair have been almost like brothers, inseparable even when they're fighting. Ethan is the sarcastic one of the group, often laid back enough to not worry about appearances or failings. This can be to his detriment as many of his peers and professors see him as lazy, despite the grade A work he puts into his schooling. Despite having grown up in a more well-off family, as the son of a senator, Ethan never let his social status get to his head.

The Demon

Background: Born as an illegitimate offspring to the Lady of Lust, first and only ruler of carnal sins, Corsic was quick to desire escape from the hells which his "mother" and "sister" so enjoyed. For several centuries, Corsic was the proprietor of a brothel, turned gentlemen's club, turned nightclub, depending on what time period the setting was. The establishment always went by the same name: The Devil's Den, and it has been recorded as being placed at different places in different periods of time, based on the largest international power. Initially having been founded during the Roman empire, moving from there to Western Europe and remaining in the United Kingdom during the Victorian period before resettling in the northeastern state of Massachusetts in the United States of America post the Civil War, and remaining there in different forms until the present day. As the owner of the establishment, Corsic worked as an information broker, using his innate gifts to achieve any knowledge he might be able to scrounge up, and selling it to whoever came to his door to make a deal with him. These contracts kept his own desires and hunger fed throughout the centuries, allowing him to keep himself in a stable position in the mortal realm. Eventually, he had become the household name for information brokers among the 20th and 21st-century hunters: those that learned of the existence of creatures believed fiction or fable and hunted them to protect Humanity.

After a series of situations with one such Huntress, Corsic ended up committing familicide, killing his mother and sister, and taking the throne of the second circle for himself. After thwarting the event now referred to as "The Abyssal Crisis" where demons flooded up from hell, kickstarting the apocalypse, Corsic took charge in the combined efforts of the Lords of the Nine Circles to drag every last damned being back into the pits and lock them there. Only thanks to his higher status as a newly appointed Archdevil is the demon able to breach the seal that the Nine Lords created to allow himself access to the mortal realm.

Background: Once an information gatherer among hundreds of thousands that answered to the demon, Devron's aid in the events leading up to and after the Abyssal crisis earned him the respect and trust of the demon he worked for. Corsic left the deed and rights to his establishment in the Fae's hands, who moved the nightclub from the previously hidden location it had on Massachusetts Bay to the downtown area near Cambridge. The Devil's Den now services all manners of people openly as Supernatural creatures and Humans learn to live in harmony. Devron is a stoic and generally cold personality matching the season his race embodies. Quiet and calculating, he was a perfect replacement for the Demon as the new Information Broker of The Devil's Den.

Background: Maera does not speak about much of her past. What little is known is that she was apparently the daughter of royalty within her realm. When this ended is unknown. She was sold as a slave to be used as a brothel whore in Corsic's establishment during its time in Venice in the year 1612. The people who sold her believed her to be a malformed human due to her strangely shaped ears that they had threatened to clip. Taking an interest in the fact that Elven people were an actual species, Corsic took the girl in personally rather than throwing her to the masses. Becoming one of his personal concubines, Maera spent the next several centuries as a glorified secretary for the demon, learning the tricks of his trade and warming his bed. In the events leading to the Abyssal Crisis, Maera's primary task was as a bartender in the nightclub, covertly working as a go-between for anyone attempting to procure the demon's services. Until Corsic became infatuated and involved with a huntress who sought his services, she was his primary form of sexual release, a position she coveted, and jealously guarded.

In the present, she executes a similar role with the current proprietor of the Den, Devron, though the two share a more mutually beneficial and romantic relation than that of her previous master. She does not speak much about her past, choosing to let it die with her rather than mention what beginnings she had.

Background: Prior to the Abyssal Crisis, Niall was a pizza delivery boy turned hunter after walking into the middle of a feeding of a family of vampires in an Alleyway in Glasgow. Having graduated from university with a double major in Law Enforcement and Zoology, and a fascination with Cryptozoology, the realization that the creatures he was so fascinated in existed made him a pain in Riannoc's ass, demanding the older man show him the ropes. Within 3 years of the older man agreeing, Niall was an efficient hunter, and Riannoc was dead. After another year of chasing the creature that killed his mentor, Niall found himself in Massachusetts, fighting with the best to minimize the damage of the Abyssal Crisis at the age of 27.

Present-day, a decade later, Niall is one of the most infamous Wolves of the International Hunter's Guild, an association formed when the UN decided to create legislation to tether the hunters in an attempt to ease tensions between supernatural creatures, non-human sapients, and humanity. Most of the upper-ranked members of the guild remember the days prior to the guild, and as such are chaffed by the figurative collars they have to wear. As such, Niall is infamous for playing hard and fast with the rules, getting the job done efficiently, if not breaking a few codes of conduct while he's at it. A classic Maverick driven by the knowledge he earned and worked for in his youth.

Name: Unknown, Goes by "Lark", or Guildmaster Lark

Background: Every Guildmaster of the IHG has their name stripped from them, being referred to by the bird that they choose to represent them. Lark is the third Guildmaster in the history of the IHG's US branch, succeeding the late Guildmaster Condor who was murdered during a peace conference between the current Senator of Massachusetts and the two largest Werewolf packs in the city, attempting to work out their differences and make peace. Lark, who had been a Grizzly, and the head of Condor's security detail, was the one who apprehended the culprit a month after the incident and was then recommended to the UN as the next Guildmaster.

Prior to her time in the guild, Lark had achieved the rank of Gunnery Seargent in the U.S. Navy Marines, having concluded two active tours of duty and honorably discharged. She found herself defending her neighborhood from Demons, Fae, and any other supernatural creature taking advantage of the chaos during the Abyssal Crisis, and ended up being asked to join the task force that would eventually become the beginnings of the IHG as one of two US military representatives. This Task Force was made up of members of the major UN countries, both renown hunters coming from out of the shadows and decorated military veterans. their primary purpose was to handle cleaning up the messes of the crisis in a more transparent way, re-establishing order and acting as security in the beginning talks between the major non-human communities and the outside world.

When the Guild was first formed, Lark immediately enlisted and rose through the ranks within the early years, achieving renown among the guild members across the UN's affiliations. In the history of the US branch of the IHG, she is the youngest Guildmaster, and all of her records had her name redacted the day she took the office, stripping away her identity. Most Guildmasters picked strong avians, so her choice of a lark to represent her was even further proof of her bucking the status quo. Under her leadership, the guild has seen great achievements being made in the process of creating lasting harmony between the races of the new world that has been ushered in.
