It was late in the night. The world was filled with mist and fog. Years had gone by and the world she knew of was a stranger to a sunny blue sky with puffy white clouds whilst blue birds sing to the heavens for all to hear.
Don't get one wrong however, this world is not dead. It's hot , it's dreary and though there are some towns and villages, mostly Hamlet's scattered about here and there. It's mostly woods and forest as far as the eye can see. An early realm of fae and fantasy still thrive. Creatures that could mimic a loved one's voice to lure you into the dark. Never to be seen again.

Some call this realm Shar'valla. The world of shadow and mist. Some compare this dreary land to limbo were shadow figures live just out of site but it all remains to be seen. We all wish to survive in the dark. All we need is a little light and pray the monsters don't eat you and the fae don't wisk you away into the most. Welcome home. I may be from hell but this world is certainly no normal stroll through the woods.

I crashed into this realm over a year ago now since I had been banished from hell and as dark and dreary as this place maybe. As dangerous as it could be at times. It was almost better than hell. It was easy to lose track of time to here if you weren't careful and I've stopped in some of the villages but it was hard to talk to anyone. So many of the people seemed weary of strangers, I couldn't blame them either especially with what I've seen. Their weren't alot of animals in these woods surprisingly but there was plenty of fish along the rivers and streams. The strangest thing I had ever found in the water however was something that almost looked like a lantern fish. Bloated and ugly it had sharp teeth and you could see inside it's translucent body, all its organs could be seen. A nearby fisherman saw what I had. He was in a small boat. Wore all black and old worn leather trenchcoat with a hat pulled low over his face and when he lifted his head you could see his shallow face and sunken dark eyes. His kin was pale, wrinkled and almost had a rubbery looking texture that could almost resemble wax even. Like the blue eerie glow from his lantern that cast over the black waters would melt his face off if he got to close.
He had spoken to me. "I wouldn't eat that, wild fae it'll make you sick. It'll boil your flesh, leave you with hives and rashes I wouldn't eat it. I wouldn't eat it. I wouldn't eat it" he continued on repeating his last words over and over again as he began to row away. He was a strange man and was not the first to call me Fae. The first to show much kindness too without being weary of my presence. I had wondered if maybe it was because he felt safe in his boat that he wouldn't be weary of my strange presence as he continues on his way across the lake into the fog.

After releasing the strange creature back into the water I continued to fish for something to eat but it was getting dark and it was more dangerous at night than it was during the day and if not for my flames I probably would have been dead by now. Many strange creatures didn't seem to like the light, so I was grateful for that. The nearest village was a couple hours away from the lake I had been on so I needed to find shelter and quick. Hiding my fishing gear in a near by fallen tree I decided to Digg under Neath the tree to make a burrow and shifted into a cat to hide in for the night and prayed nothing dangerous would find her.
