I've role played horror and gothic enough, and I want to go back to my roots: Fantasy.
I'm looking for someone willing to do a journey-based fantasy with antagonists, recurring non-player characters, etc. Our two characters will be interacting most often, but we will encounter others that both if us play. Experience writing multiple characters preferred, but you can be new to it; that's fine. I'd like to brainstorm the plot, but here are a few ideas I have, too:
Regardless of plot, my character will be a young magic user, presumably a wizard. I have a couple different characters in mind, but they're all based off the same trope/concept; their background and personalities are different according to the plot.
My character will be a young half-elf wizard who has had to leave his home and travel for reasons unknown. He is new to traveling and adventuring; hes spent most of his time with books and formal teaching, so he isn't street-wise or charasmatic and it's not uncommon for him to refer to notes or books before making a decision. Being formally educated and not interacting with many people, hes easy to take advantage of on the street or in the wilderness. He's intelligent and genuinely kind-hearted, but something dark in his mind encourages a certain condescending and insensitive nature. If his mind is cultivated incorrectly, he could become corrupt or evil-- if your character is evil, I will have him hesitantly follow. He's very secretive about where exactly he came from, and there is a reason for that. Rather than being a leader, he prefers to be support or a side-kick, but he is capable of his own decisions and creating his own path. If he likes you, he will support you as an equal companion; to others, however, he seems meek and stays in the background. It would seem, to others, that your character is "head of the operation," but the wizard just prefers subtlety and quiet. If he agrees with your path, he will follow. Good, evil, or somewhere in between.
Dont mistake him for a malleable, submissive fool, though; he is powerful when he can be.
Looking forward to start with whoever is interested

- Our characters are searching for the cure to a mysterious blight that has been infecting the region. Each of us have our motivations whether it's to save a loved one, save ourselves, seek knowledge, etc. We later find out the blight/plague was made by magic or science, and we hunt down the person(s) who created it.
- The two of us get caught up in a crime together, regardless if one of our characters is criminal or not. The crime could be committed against a tyrannical province, so the crime could not necessarily be "wrong" by moral standards. We could have stood up for injustice, stole medicine for a sick person, anything. Or one of us could have genuinely committed a crime. I'd prefer my character to not be a criminal by nature, but he would have something in his past over his head so he would have to cooperate with your character through blackmail. Your character could have committed an independent crime, and mine accidentally got caught up in it.
- We share a similar nemesis who neither of us have met, but we are both looking for him/her because they did something to us.
