What the subject reads.
I looked over this site prior to registering. I think I'll appreciate the tolerance for mature content here (that tolerance being within reason, of course).
My preferred genres are Grimdark, Dark Fantasy, Dystopian, and Military Fiction, but I'll participate in any Fantasy medium so long as it has dark themes. Due to past projects, I'm familiar with High Fantasy. I feel well versed in that should the need ever arise.
I adore exploring the "shades of grey" in villains. My panel will be full of them to some effect. Know that I do not take joy in writing the worst in them. They allow me to reflect and examine my ideals. I'm sorry. I don't sense the same growth in me when writing "good" characters. Take that as you will. It is very likely that if my character expresses an opinion, it is the opposite of what I truly believe. I like to challenge my own ideas/beliefs by writing another point of view to them. It forces me to think critically. I haven't come this far, having had written what I have, for being discourteous to others. Consent is important to me. Respecting barriers as well (and rules, actually).
I've come with a partner, a dear friend of several years. Aside from starting a 1x1 thread with her, I plan to settle in and read some of the threads I've glimpsed. I'll eventually look for something more.
Peace.
