June is here and Pride is in the air!
pride-unread-png.104460

A time to celebrate the variety that makes this site what it is. And on the Sanctum, our celebration brings three things:

1. Two brand new themes!!!

2. A long overdo Sanctum movie night

3. A Pride-themed monthly challenge (to be posted later)

First, the themes.

Full credit to @Jumbled, who completely outdid herself this time.

Pride:

Now, Pride is, let's be honest, not a subtle theme. But we like to cater to all kinds and so (after ruthless cyberbullying by @Rose for the Hunter), we bring you Zen:

As always, you can find both themes listed on the preferences page

Second, the Movie Night

We are long overdue for another Sanctum Movie Night and I have decided to do one that has been long requested: Movie Musicals!!!

The exact date will be announced in the future, but we encourage you to post your suggestions down below!!!

Third, the Monthly Writing Challenge

The Challenge has begun

Les Miserables
Annie (preferably an old version)
Grease (and/or it's sequels)
Little Shop of Horrors
Mary Poppins
Singin' in the Rain
Bye bye birdie
The Sound of Music
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (with Gene wilder)
The Wizard of Oz
The Greatest Showman
An American in Paris (made in 1951)
Fiddler on the Roof
The Music Man
West Side Story is good though have not seen it myself, but I hear good things
Oklahoma

The pride pics look pretty though the second background makes it a tad difficult to see the site name. I do like how it weaves in and out of the bamboo though.

Just a quick bug I spotted on the Pride theme - the << and >> buttons to go to the last and first page in a thread are hidden. They're there but hidden when the page loads.

My suggestion for musicals is Cyrano

We kinda sorta just, opted to leave it broken when we were building because some colors attached to other colors, which then changed the look of the front page completely. So the better option was to have that tiny text hard to see. The button will still be there, though. >.<;;

All Dogs Go to Heaven
An American Tail
An American Tail: Fievel Goes West
Anastasia (1997)
Cannibal! The Musical
Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog (don't know if this counts as a movie)
Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1953)
Guys and Dolls (1955)
Hamilton
Hedwig and the Angry Inch
Moulin Rouge
Newsies
Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street
The Brave Little Toaster
The Book of Mormon (if it can be found in movie form)
The Muppet Movie
The Producers (1967)
The Rocky Horror Picture Show
The Umbrellas of Cherbourg (1964)
Victor/Victoria (1982)

BONUS: The newest CATS movie, just for something to gawk and laugh at.

Okay but I feel like no one is talking about these new themes and they are soo good and deserve hella hype. Thanks for making them!

I just realized something, with the new chat room PG-13 rating, does that mean all movie selections need to be PG-13 or less? If so, strike the movie suggestions from my list that are rated R.

Movie list is finalized!!! The stream will be on Saturday June 29th

Little Shop Of Horrors (1986) 135 minutes
Aladdin (1992) 90 minutes
The Sound of Music (1965) 174 minutes
The Greatest Showman (2017) 104 minutes
Cabaret (1972) 124 minutes
Cats (2019) 110 minutes (Yes, we will be making fun of it)
The Producers (2005) 134 minutes (Yes, 67 is better, but it is less a musical. Will be saved for a Mel Brooks night)

Total: 871 minutes 14.5 hours (edited)
