My name's...Almighty... and I've been roleplaying in forums for around 13 years. I remember my first time RP'ing was as a teenager. I jumped into some forest RP just to failtroll the writers with very unpleasant advances. Surprisingly, I enjoyed it and haven't stopped writing since(in a much different way). A big part of what attracts me to RP isn't just the writing, but also reading the unique stories and characters of other writers that often seem better than what I can find in books. And, of course, the chance to interact with those characters however you like is something that a book can never give you. There was a time when it felt like RP was restricted to really niche forums on non-rp sites or oddly sexual (I'm looking at you John Norman) chat rooms. It's nice to see that there are some decent dedicated RP sites like this that are growing. So I'm here to jump on the bandwagon, join a few RP's, and blow off some creative steam.
As for my preferences, I'm purely fantasy based. It's all I read and all I write. I just can't help it. I also enjoy very structured RP combat with tons of rules (if that's a thing on this site. Not sure yet.)
