Heya there! I'm New! Literally...

So, Heya there everyone! Truint here, a newbie to roleplaying!

Like my title says, I'm literally new to the site and roleplaying so I don't have any idea at all what to do but that's one of the reasons why I joined the site. It's so I could learn how to roleplay (if I'm actually able to roleplay to begin with). I hope everyone would treat me well as the newbie I am and help point out my mistakes if I ever made one.

As a writer, I suck... and that's practically what I can say about it. (Sorry about that.)
Roleplays that I would like to be in would be... Fantasy, Horror, Sci-fi and some other stuff that I actually think ok of(... I think??)

Anyways, that's all and thank you for having me!

Hmm... What brought me to roleplaying... Truth be told, I don't know why I found myself wanting to know how to roleplay but if I were to take a guess then... It might probably be me wanting to be more creative and probably to experience how to act and/or think like someone else cuz it might help me with writing if possible.

My apologies Truint my phone auto corrected your name. Hope you'll forgive me for not checking.

Your best bet is to take a look though the request threads. I would advise looking through the last 4 pages at least because we have had an awful lot of new ppl in the last 3 weeks.
This will tell you the stories people are wanting to write. And the type of partner they are looking for.

Most rp's here are classed as 1v1 so two people telling a story through two main characters. Group rp's are less popular and harder to keep going, but often more satisfying.
In 'Unfinished Tales' there are open RP's that anyone can join, just remember to take the time to read the first few posts to get an idea of what's going on. There is definitely one that is open to all and any character types and has a very loose story structure just now.
Reading some of these might also help you discover what other people expect from their partners.

If you have a story you want to tell put up a request, explaining a general idea, and what you like in your rp's.
Action, Gore, story based, smut based, etc.
Also add what you definitely don't want.
Gore, swearing, smut. Etc
Then see what happens.

Ah... No, don't worry bout it, it's fine with the name auto-correct. Quite understandable given what my name is.

Well, given as this site is quite famous (found the site via request from a friend and google), it's a given that there's a lot of new members joining in the weeks.
Hmm... So the request board is like a literal quest board from rpg's and the like (xD)... Would try looking through, maybe I'd find something there and have a nice find, given that there's a lot of new members and old ones, I'd probably find one that'd both fit what I and the requester want, I'd ask the requester first before anything though.

Hmm... Any Group RP going on lately? Just wanna know cuz I wanna experience that if there's one. I'll probably try 1v1 some other time though (or I'd just go and jump right into one that fits, either one of the two works).
Unfinished Section... Hmm... are all the stories there still ongoing and if a story does finish(or goes into Hiatus) where do they go?
I'll try to join some after I read the whole thing first.... just visited the section and found that there's tons of things to read before I catch up... then again, it's quite something how people are able to knit stories together...

Gotcha and thanks for informing me of what I need to put if I ever do a request.

Hey, glad to hear you're finding your way way around.
Unfinished Tales is just the name of the open RP thread, they are mostly still active if they have been taken up.
I had thought finished or forgotten rp's were archived. But mostly they seem to just stay in the threads.

As I mentioned, group rp's are a bit more difficult to find, although there are a few in the open RP section.
The reason they tend to die off is because of either waiting on someone to reply, especially if you have a posting order. Or because of people rushing ahead and others getting left behind confusing the story.

Thanks... I also understand that, I just thought that maybe, just maybe, I accidentally joined a site where only experienced roleplayers, or at least has experience in roleplaying, only site and thought that I might've screwed myself over but it doesn't seem to be the case. Everyone here is quite kind. Oh and yeah, already made one in unfinished just to test how I find myself going about roleplaying... Hopefully, the things I've typed and said within those roleplaying are alright cuz I really don't know....

Your posts seem to be alright to me. Are you sure that you're new to roleplaying? lol Everyone here is quite kind and that's what I love about this site already. Also, if you need any further tips or guidance, my inbox is always opened up for such. :) I don't bite. Much anyway. :D

I'm new to roleplaying, I don't even know a lot of things about it till I found myself trying to join some roleplaying groups in facebook just to see how I go but then I was faced with questions about roleplaying and I didn't know the answers soo...... Stuff happened and I ended up just browsing the groups cuz I have no idea what I was supposed to do on them...

And yeah, I can't help but agree with you there. This site is quite friendly (I kind of expected for it to be... Uh... I dunno, somewhat not) and not what I expected it to be (A dead site or something like that cuz most of the groups I joined in Facebook were dead)...

About the tips and guidance. Then sure, I pretty much need the help anyways to know how roleplaying goes... but for now, I don't think I have much questions I need answers for... And thanks for the offer!

Hm, I never wrote anything on Facebook, to be honest. I've done some chat servers though and that's about it. But nope, site is not dead at all!
Also, no problem on the offer. I am happy to help anyone that needs it. :)
