So, I have a couple of ideas for a roleplay, mainly for three or four other people to join, because group rps (or at least the ones I've been in) with too many people fizz out faster. The plots are not solid, if anyone is interested in the ideas I would like some feedback and ideas on how to make it better. One of my favorite parts about role playing with groups is that the plot can expand with the help of ideas from partners, because I obviously don't have all the answers and I don't like too. So, if any of you are interested in joining with me to make these roleplays happen let me know!
 
Tribal RP

Modern society has always been obsessed with Tribes, indigenous peoples that have remained hidden and excluded from the ever-growing technology and Social norms of current society. Most of these hidden tribes have been found but have remained untouched by societies modern hand. Why? Well unless these tribes have some secret to lasting life or good skin, our culture isn't very interested in what they do. But consider this; somewhere, in the Pacific Ocean is a drifting landform, on this land are ancient peoples that have not meet with the mainlanders in centuries. In their DNA lies a 'power' or other sense mainlanders have lost touch with since the early dawn of homo sapiens. With this power, these drifting people can access the history and information of other people by ingesting their blood or sleeping next to them and entering their dreams.​

Plot Points:
  1. Most people think the drifting island is a myth until a group of researcher's pins point its current location which hasn't been done in years
  2. An exploration group is hired to go to the island and interact with the clan
  3. They meet its people but they are reluctant to share with the outsiders due to past experiences
  4. The Chiefs successor (power by blood ingestion) is interested in the outsiders, from the old stories and songs about the outsiders, so she makes a deal with the chief -Her people are cautious of outsiders cause in the past they were greedy and insensitive, wanting to enslave her people for the power they had- she is allowed to leave the island with the outsiders, but only as an observer to the mainlander's way of life. If their ways are still powered by greed, envy and control then the drifters will continue their separation from the mainlanders, but if they have compassion and sensitivity then the Drifters will allow their history to be shared.
  5. The exploration group is very excited to show the chief's successor their culture and way of life, to which the successor often questions their motifs and hypocrisy, as well as societal roles.
  6. One of the people hired for the exploration is actually a rat, pulls a Judas situation and now the drifters are in trouble because some big company or government wants to take the drifters power and control other countries or something of that nature
  7. The exploration group has to get the chief's successor home so she can warn her people about the attack

Pros
  • I have a lot of the story figured out
  • More than one drifter can accompany the chief's successor on her trip (I think I'll limit it to two)
  • A lot of the drifter's culture is based off of a mash of native cultures: they believe in multiple genders and two-spirits, humans and animals share a similar soul and if one with earth they can communicate with animals in a spiritual way. Their way of life is heavily influence by their history of storytelling and folk songs. They also believe in multiple gods
  • Drifters culture, is very hunter gatherer based, they only take what they need from their island, and in return they keep it safe and healthy. The chief is usually a drifter that has the power by blood ingestion, in the past when other clans or mainlanders would come, in their conquest the chief of the drifters would drink their blood as tribute to the gods for a successful battle. Drifters who have the power by dreams are often the sage or "medicine man' of the clan, cause their power also allows them to find the exact ailment the befalls to their comrades
  • The exploration group is made of six people
  • As the stories progresses we can add more obstacles, if they fit into the plot

Cons

  • If a drifter inherits the power they can't do both, only one or the other and they are usually assigned their life duty by which one they inherit, and they can't change their job.
  • The drifters with powers are often put into arranged marriages, the chief and his council decide the suitor based on the intelligence and character of the person, so that the power drifter isn't paired with someone they are totally against, it's often a childhood friend or relative
  • The 'arches' in this rp aren't fully thought out so I need help with that
  • I'm only allowing three or four people to write this out with me
  • I'm going to need a lot of help with sort out the plot for this rp, it's a fresh idea so I haven't had much time to brew on it
  • Peeps are probably gonna die or at least be severely injured
  • 21+ for this rp

Also, I apologize in advance if my writing is crudy. I'm focused on getting these ideas on the ground more than anything else.
 
Post-Apocalyptic rp

This is exactly as it's sounds, America is putting itself back together after a dread third world war, which was then followed by a horrible virus that killed a fourth of the world population within a matter of weeks and turned a third of people into a zombie like state. They weren't dead per say but their minds were taken by the virus, the people infected were now focused on one thing; to spread the virus to the rest of the living population. Whatever resources were left after the Third World War were used to fend off the infected from killing off the last of the population. It took years after but the scientists created a vaccine that would make the immune system resistant to the virus. The vaccines were given to the people and the virus soon stopped growing. Those who were changed by the virus went into hiding once the healthy population began to fight back. Still with that victory in hand, the casualties were tremendous and about half of the adult population was gone (ages 45+ were more susceptible to the virus because their immune systems had weakened significantly by them)

It's been five years since the vaccine was created, countries are now getting their resources back together, but most are still in disarray or great chaos. In U.S. and Canada, their population was affected heavily both the World War and the virus. Many children are left without parents to care for them, the government barely has a grasp on the situation and the states are divided and in rebellion against the government. Gangs have taken over major city and metropolis areas. Ecosystems are growing now that pollution and waist have decreased significantly and people are shedding their once materialistic values to become nomads and roam the states, protecting and living within the growing forests and valleys. Child enslavement and trafficking has become universal and sadly crucial to the way business in conducted in this post-apocalyptic world. Luckily, not everyone agrees with the idea of enslaving children. There is a place in the west that houses children and takes care of them, raises them, educates them until they're 25. Basically, an Orphanage, it's known in the west as the Safe Haven. Here, adults who have fought in the third war and against the infected, kept their morality and decided not to give into the sick trading system. Instead they 'steal' enslaved children from shipping posts all throughout the west, survived by learning to grow and farm their own food sources as well as bargain with their estranged government for weapons and resources to education by promising mechanics, journalists, and combat ready adults once they're old enough to leave Safe Haven. But the Government is tired of bartering, they want action, one that is swift and immediate to get what they will, and with the plans they're concocting, it might happen sooner than what everyone thinks.
Plot Points:
  1. What the government is calling, "the dawn of a new age" is basically a world where the countries are split into Factions; The Government, The Bad lands, The Guarded , and The Forbidden
    1. The Government: If the one percent where to live past the apocalypse this would be them. The new Government is less of a that and more of what's left of the military and politicians who are under the thumb of the rich. They have the most resources and the most influence, so their word is law. Of course they want the majority population to trust them so they created a government that serves them as long as the rich get the favors that they ask for
    2. Bad Lands: Their factions are set up in 'the Zoos' cities in certain states that were once (and still are) filled with the worst crime and drug habits. There's a lot of black marketing going on in this area the rebels basically do what they want when they want to and aren't afraid to risk lives in the name of a few bucks or rights to land. Within the Bad lands there are five large gangs the claim major cities and territories around them. And a couple of them are the major dealers of drugs, firearms, and enslaved children workers
    3. The Guardians: Nomadic peoples, they live in the forests and caves of North American, anywhere with a thriving ecosystem they protect and live from. Pockets of these Nomadic people live in several area's at a time and every two seasons they migrate to another place. The Government Grants the Nomads mercy as long as they protect the resources they so desperately need
    4. The Forbidden: Small pockets of the continent where the last few infected reside, no is allowed near these areas, it would allow the infected to spread again and cause another breakout.
  2. The Safe Haven's aren't apart of any faction. It's a kingdom of sorts, ran by a woman and her cohorts who don't play nice when it comes to protecting their 'kids'. They the bane of the Bad Lands existence as they often disrupt trade deal and steal their merch.
  3. Safe Haven survives by scraping off merch from the Bad Lands, to the government in exchange for resources for their kids. When those kids hit 25 they are given the option to come and work for the government or stay at the Safe Haven and work for the Warden.
  4. Some will agree to work for the government, to tr and change how things are ran and figure out a better alternative to the North's child labor problems. Other resist and stay in Safe Haven. Some even run off to become Nomads, or wind up in the Bad Lands (that's rare)
  5. Since the Virus outbreak the Government lost control of the west, it's mainly occupied by the Bad Landers and Nomads as well as pockets of hidden infected. They've tried in the past to reign in the Safe Haven but were always kept out because the west was proclaimed "bad Land territory'
  6. The government owns most of California and Arizona. there they have a secret base that been working on a projects for a couple of years now.
  7. What they plan to do is to take the kids they get from the Safe Haven and turn them into mind controlled slaves, who are enhanced to have incredible strength and intelligence, which they got from a mutation they created with the virus (Think of World War Z zombies, but they're humans, with their conscious removed)
  8. The Rich and some politicians want to use them and take control of the entire U.S. as well as Canada, South America and the Caribbean, and then they'll gain allies with China, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Dubai, England, and Russia to take control of the rest of the world.
  9. In order for this to happen they have to get in close with Safe Haven members so they send in a spy that will live at Safe Haven but will report back to headquarters every two weeks.
  10. while the spy is there, the test subjects sued to try out the first few shots of the enhancement drug become very unstable and revert back to infected, yet these ones are stronger, smarter and faster (okay now it's like World War Zx10) The escape the facility and find surface (of course its underground) and start collecting original Infected from the forbidden pockets, and slowly a second wave of the virus is coming.
  11. As the infected build their makeshift army they begin to attack small areas of humans, the Government quickly catches wind and now the the
  12. split factions have to come together to fight them off once again

Pros
  • I see a lot of the same thing when people make Post-Apocalyptic rps. Very similar to the Walking Dead or just a simple slice of life type deal. I wanted to spice it up a bit. do something a little different possibly
  • 25 became the new adult age, since it was confirmed that the body and brain are no longer affected by puberty. (so the 'kids' in this rp are 18-24 years old, mentions of younger kids may happen but really its for the plot and background stories of certain characters)
  • I've been thinking of this rp for a while. Fun Fact: This idea came from a dream I had, I couldn't stop thinking about since so i just built on to the story that played out in my dream
  • You can write as much as you think is needed (Idk if this is really a pro, but if you feel the need to the detailed especially during a specific story arch, be my guest) the minimum for this rp is a paragraph (For me that's 5-7 coherent sentences)
  • You can apply to be in any Faction and have any role except for an infected, but there has to be a decent amount of people in every faction for this to work

Cons
  • There's No limit to ho can join! BUT. You have to be dedicated to this rp if it gets up and running, Since the story behind this one needs a good amount of people I cannot have flakers, If the story becomes slow we'll take brakes and figure out how to move it along but no flakers.
  • 18+ in this rp,
  • There will be a lots of gore, sexual content, drugs and possible(?) triggers in this rp, it won't center around sexual content of course, but fair warning; there might be some.
