Name: Aurelie (meaning: Immortal) *Nickname: Aure*

Age: Unknown

Species: Nymph.

Gender: female

Appearance: She is small and frail with long ginger hair that reaches past her ankles and drags slightly against the ground. Her eyes are large and shift constantly from a pale blue to a pastel green.

Abilities: Aurelie has the ability to speak to nature and animals, controlling the trees, water and creatures within the forest that divides the kingdoms of this far away land. Aure has healing abilities, being able to cure any illness and any injury however she hardly uses the ability because the Nymph respects that for some creatures it is their time to pass on. She is immortal however there is a way to make her leave the human realm. To rid her of the human world one would have to completely destroy the forest that she is connected to.

Personality: She is a bit of an odd women, her head is always in the clouds and when she speaks it's usually in rhymes or riddles and is known to never give a straight answer. She loves animals and nature and isn't threatening at all. She is a friend to everyone, Aurelie is kind and loving with not a mean bone in her body.

Backstory: Aurelie never remembered how she came to be, nor her childhood. The nymph couldn't even remember if she had parents...however she had remembered the death and destruction of war, watching as those around her slowly decayed and became one with the forest. The fire that followed.....the ash that fell from the sky like snow and littered the ground. She could also remember falling in love with a mortal, living out her days with him until he eventually died of old age. His death made her question her existence, however after centuries that pain disappeared and was replaced with a numbness, the only way the Nymph had managed to cope with immortality was to slowly allow her sanity to slip between her fingers like grains of sand. Despite being incoherent and insane she still manages to hold an unbelievable amount of wisdom and meaning behind her nonsense, Aure's beauty often captivated even the most dangerous and evil creatures of the forest, creating a calm and placid animal that listened to her every word.

Aurelie elegantly danced through the forest in a white gown that stopped just above her knees, her hair bouncing around as she jumped across the forest floor. The Nymphs arms lifting above her head and as she twisted her wrists in slow movements, her bare feet slapped against the ground, crushing the dead leaves beneath them.

She sung a gentle tune. Her voice soft and soothing to the ear "see me now, a ray of light in the Moondance." She continued to dance around a large willow tree in the light of the full moon and continued her song with a thick Irish accent. "See me now, I cannot leave this place. Hear me now...a strain of song in the forest" the nymph began to hum the melody softly and closed her eyes as she allowed herself to indulge in the moment.

As she danced small fireflies illuminated the areas of the forest where the moonlight didn't shine through the tall masses of trees. Making the usually eerie and unsettling night enchanted and magical. Soon small fairies came out of hiding and joined her in singing and dancing. Smiling gently the strawberry blonde had no embarrassment or shame for her unusual and improper behaviour. In the forest, human etiquette and standards did not exist, all that matters were manners and balance.

Soon however the child of the forest felt a presence foreign to her land, she did not feel threatened or scared…nor angry or upset. She simply continued to dance and laugh, despite the fairies going back into hiding and the fireflies disappearing into the night as if afraid of the presence.

Eventually Aure stood still when the metallic scent of blood filled her nostrils and she turned in the direction of the source, they were bleeding and in poor health a few more hours and they would surely die from blood loss. However the forest beckoned her to help this foreigner, it was not their time to pass on to the next world...they still had an unfulfilled destiny and so Aurelie made her way to the person and looked them up and down, before slowly reaching out her frail hand to brush it along the strangers cheek "life's too short for you to waste, slow it down...don't move with haste. Time is once, you get to spend. Choose carefully my friend...because it may abruptly come to an end" The woman rhymed, probably making no sense to the human but the meaning behind her poem was deeper than it seemed. Aure took the persons hand and wrapped their arm around her shoulder, she did not care for the blood that began to stain her white dress.

Aurelie lead the person to the large weeping willow, slipping in through the vine like leaves and into the shelter of the tree. She set the person against the base of the tree and then got to work on healing their wound, she did this by biting her thumb till it bled and smearing it over the wound whilst changing a spell from an ancient gaelic language and soon the wound began to heal on its own which would take a few minutes. Kneeling in front of the mortal she looked deep into their eyes as if taking a glance into their soul and asked " what is your appellation mortal?" The nymphs pale blue eyes shifting into a pastel green while she peered deep their own eyes while she waited for the stranger to provide her with a name and title.
