Let's get started--

It's a proclamation of the self, that I am a supreme degenerate, but all it really means is I have a really good time writing really questionable, odd, nasty (affectionate), and violent things. I've been roleplaying for around 16 years and though I've learned much and still have even more to learn, for the most part, I've ironed out my interests, expectations, style, and what it means to be a storyteller in my mind. I'm not the fastest; In fact, I'd argue I'm probably among some of the slowest, but I'm always happy to chat about what we have going on and will often start multiple threads to keep things going, as well as create playlists, draw up our characters together, play around with Picrews, and gush and gush and gush! There's a lot going on in my day-to-day life, so there will be times I won't be able to chat much or work on replies; Work, family, and my marriage will always take priority, but once I sit down and start going, it's hard to stop me.

Some Interests
  • Homegrown Soulslike/D&D worldbuilding
  • Wildly complicated romances (MxM usually, but MxF is on the table)
  • AUs of all kinds -- I'm pretty easy
  • Moody, broody Tsundere x Cocky, playful Non-tsundere
  • Cliches, unironically

What to Expect When Writing with Me
  • I have a tendency to go overboard, meaning I will write as much as I am inspired to and then some. I don't have a concrete average or estimation on total word count (if my fics are anything to go by...), but it'll generally be a lot or otherwise consistent with previous replies.
  • I take things slowly as I don't want to write something that's incoherent and my life outside of roleplaying or writing in general is busy; I have a family and some other hobbies, and we'll soon be moving to another state in May.
  • Usually, I try to stick to one character in each individual thread, however I love to introduce guest muses from time to time. Depending on the plot, I don't mind writing more characters at once, but I do generally only write one character for one-on-one interactions.
  • I like to plot, but I also really like just sort of allowing the characters to do their thing, interact naturally. So, essentially, I like to wing it most of the time, or chat about it into oblivion.
  • I'm happy to write dark or otherwise adult content. I don't have many hard limits aside from what will break site rules, really. I love smut, even if it doesn't further the plot - it's lots of fun! Honestly, the darker and hornier, the better (sometimes). Flexibility and experimentation are important to me in terms of growth in writing in general.
  • I write a number of types of characters, but I generally prefer to write male characters. My preferred pairings are typically MxM, but seeing as most of my characters (and I have many) are bisexual, I'm positive we can work something out. Lately, I've been really wanting to write a female character, so that is also absolutely on the table.
  • I do not roleplay canon characters and will stick with my OCs, though I do love Canon x OC pairings! I have a bit of imposter syndrome concerning canon characters (I don't think I write them well, and no two headcanons match up, so I just end up getting extremely nervous and awkward about it).
  • I love, love, love to make edits, playlists, and picrews of the dynamics and characters we have going on! Sharing music, images, thoughts, and ideas on our characters is something I always thought ironed out what exactly we have going on, as well as serving to further explore them and solidify interest. Let us gush unto eternity.

Interests & Genres

There's a lot I'm interested in exploring and plenty more I already have, so I'll include below what I write frequently and I've been craving for ages!
  • Fantasy; High fantasy, dark fantasy, D&D, and Soulslike fantasies are my bread and butter. Grand adventures and dark exploration are wonderful things, and I'd love to toy around with the questionable, awkward, menacing, horrific, and uncomfortable aspects of fantasy as a whole. Of course, what I like most is the worldbuilding aspect, and then subjecting the characters to the strangeness of things they'd otherwise never know what to do with.
  • Horror; Psychological, slasher (or exploitation), fantastical, alien, monstrous-- I love horror and, sadly, haven't had too many opportunities to explore it and all its subgenres. Murder, torture, cannibalism, obsession, demons, and the like are heavy interests for me, and I love the thrill that bone-chilling - for lack of a better term - fucked upedness gives me. Having the characters investigate, discover, find themselves in way over their heads, incur near-fatal injuries or die is always an interesting, sad, painful, and scary experiment!
  • Romance; I'm a big fan of love. Painful, toxic love in which both characters are left worse for wear but can't (or won't) abandon each other; True, kind, desperate love where both have freely given themselves to each other, showing off a special sort of devotion when the going gets especially tough; Sweet puppy love, crushing on each other in work or school settings, awkwardly battling with the ins and outs of love; First times; Smut. I love love and all the forms it takes, be they healthy or otherwise.
  • Cyberpunk; I have limited experience with this genre outside of a handful of bad personal attempts and gaming, so I would love to explore the philosophies, technologies, and complications presented within the genre.
  • Supernatural; This ties in with fantasy a bit, but ghosts, demons, angels, superpowers, witches, and all other things are also something I've written a lot about and would love to do so again. Or at least more frequently.
  • Post-Apocalypse; Let's destroy the world and make our characters figure out how to survive in its remains.

Fandoms; I'll list here what fandoms I'm open to writing in or have written in!
  • -Anime: My Hero Academia, Black Clover, Demon Slayer, Chainsaw Man, Bleach, Naruto, Jujutsu Kaisen, Juuni Taisen, Ghost in the Shell, Attack on Titan, Code Geass, Blood+, Space Dandy, Fooly Cooly, and plenty more!
  • -Video Games: Devil May Cry, Elden Ring, Dragon Age, Star Ocean, Stardew Valley, Okami, Final Fantasy 7 (OG or R), Final Fantasy 15, Silent Hill, Destiny, Elder Scrolls, Nier: Automata, Baldur's Gate, Code Vein, Cyberpunk 2077, Kingdom Hearts, Outlast, Phantasy Star, Resident Evil, The Witcher, Hogwarts, and more!

Current Interests; What I'm mainly looking for in terms of fandom. All characters and writing samples are Google Docs.
  • MHA; I'll put my OC right under this, but what I'm looking for here is a Hawks to play against my very angsty, very conflicted original hero to a sort of slow-burn capacity. My character, Saryn, is male, gay, and grappling with a whole host of survivor's guilt while in the midst of more or less being 'conscripted' by the HPSC since crawling out of the woodwork to finally exact his revenge on his mother's murderer. He's quite the sassy, irritable, and stand-offish type, but he's really more like...a kicked puppy that's been backed into a corner, if that metaphor makes sense. Someone whose trying his best and that best isn't good enough for him nor anyone else, or so he thinks. The potential for a kindred spirits type of relationship - two people navigating similar circumstances, attempting to earn their freedom from commodification, government control, and simply do the right thing - is, in my opinion, pretty great. Plus, I enjoy the Playful/Friendly x Stoic/Grumpy tropes to a ridiculous degree (I have a type, haha). If that's right up your alley, gimme a holler!
Here is a basic overview of Saryn.

  • Hogwarts L; I'll update with my MC under this section (still somewhat under development), but what I'm mainly looking for here is a Sebastian to play against my MC in a friends-to-lovers capacity. I don't really mind how it plays out necessarily, as the focus will primarily be on events post-game (as in, post-graduation) with references to the main and Sebastian's storyline. Taking two somewhat morally ambiguous characters and testing their resolve, giving them difficult goals to achieve and seeing whether or not they give in or succeed, and testing just how far they'll go is what fascinates me here. My MC, Viresca, is talented but flawed, in that she's the sort of person to demand a heavy price when collecting on debts owed to her - which would be exactly how she winds up falling for a certain, somewhat morally ambiguous wizard in the twilight hours of her life. Complicated emotions, difficult expectations that seem impossible to meet, magic, horrific adventures, and trauma-bonding - turning something potentially or actively toxic into a potentially heartwarming experience - are the name of the game with this one.
Goober File on Viresca.

  • Completely OG; I'd like to perhaps explore something completely original, built from the ground up. It's been such a long time since I've had anyone to truly bond over plotting and world building, and I think this would be an excellent way to forge a friendship and long-lasting roleplay partnership. All of these are, really, but anyway. I'm open to anything I've listed above and whatever my partner might be itching to experiment with. I'm partial to romance, fantasy, and the like and am absolutely brimming with ideas from elves with complicated marriage ceremonies and a penchant for magical warfare, to exiled vampire princes aiming to set off a supernatural revolution to knock other vampires down a few pegs, and always a good cliche.
An alternative character.

Writing Sample(s); Here is at least one writing sample, for anyone who'd like to see what my writing is like and decide from there if we might mesh well.
  • Prologue - Written for an odd fantasy fandom mash-up between DMC and MHA; Contains blood, body horror, violence, and implied death.
  • Excerpt - A chapter from an MHA fanfiction I'm working (quite self-indulgently); Contains referenced character deaths, guilt, government b.s., regret, angst...sad things, really.
