hey everyone! i'm avian or sen!
i'm not really used to request threads, but after checking out some others, i think i've got the gist of them enough to try it out! i'm still very new to the site, but i've been a pretty avid roleplayer for probably about 11 or so years now. i used to do exclusively forum based, then kinda switched to chat based, and now i do a lot of dnd roleplaying, which is a whole different ball game as i assume you know lol.
that being said, i'm definitely interested in getting back into roleplaying more. here's a kind of general overview of what i'm kind of looking for, i suppose

that being said, don't assume that all of the characters below have to be what they might originally be stated as (like a fae or human or demon, etc.) if you think some of your characters would have good chemistry with one or you think they could make a cool story, i'm all for au versions of them! trust me, i've done about a million different aus with one of my ocs, from shifter to centaur to mer. i love seeing how my characters react to different situations! and i can always find a way to work in their backstory if they have one with an au version ^^
if none of the ones below work but you're still interested in rping, just send me a message! these ones are all just samples of who i thought might work generally, i'd love to see what new characters come out of this!
i'm also not opposed to group rps at all! might check a few of them out but i feel like they're slightly more intimidating... hope to talk with you guys soon! ^^

Rules:
- one thing that's absolutely necessary first and foremost is that you have to be lgbt friendly and enthusiastic- i'm nonbinary and aro/ace and 100% of my characters are in the lgbt community. while i have absolutely no problem with m/f, a lot of my characters prefer relationships with the same gender, and even if they don't have a specific preference, they're usually bi
- anything with magic and fantasy and i'm your partner!! i am open to dabbling in pretty much anything though
- i've already stated that i'm a writer, but with roleplaying i generally prefer a looser style- sometimes that means absolutely doing multiple paragraphs, but that also means if the situation calls for it i don't think dragging out a post just to drag it out is beneficial and i think it causes more stress than just having fun!
- don't let my conversational, no capital style fool you, in formal settings i do use proper capitalization and punctuation and such. however, i do love playing around with stylization in certain scenarios!
- i am absolutely 100% okay with relationships and whatnot, but you should know that there are certain times where i can get uncomfortable if things get too explicit and i'm not the best with rping them. i can't say exactly where the line is, because sometimes i can get wigged out with rather minor things, but am also at other times completely comfortable with a lot more explicit. i'll absolutely communicate if anything starts to happen! which brings me to…
- not necessarily a "rule" per say, but honestly i would absolutely love to get to know each other outside of rping too!! whether it's just bouncing ideas or headcanons and such with each other or seeing how each other is doing and talking about what we like to do, i'd really like to try and build a friendship with you! pm on here is absolutely fine, but i'll probably respond way easier ooc on discord if you have it!
Things I absolutely like:
- creating lore and worlds!!! absolutely fine with modern day, but a lot of the stuff i do in modern day has magic/fantasy elements added in (like magical creatures hiding in plain sight, superheroes, etc)
- animal characteristics? sign me up. hybrids? absolutely. shifters? i'd be one if i could!
- addendum: i'm not completely okay with full on anthros in 1x1- group settings, sure! but 1x1 for potential of romance, not so much. however, the animal characteristics can toe that line preeeetty closely. they can behave more animalistic, have claws, fangs, animal ears, animal feet, fur, etc, but i would prefer them to be overall humanoid
- honestly basically anything supernatural (vampires, werewolves, etc.) they're all my jam
- ask me about my demon hierarchy and lore PLEASE
- gods and stuff are my SHIT i love creating god and deity lore
- ngl, i'm a sucker for virtual reality stuff too

Age: Early to mid 20s
Gender: Male, He/him
Sexuality: Gay
Original Species: Human turned into Doubt Demon
Appearance: Dark, longer hair, not quite shoulder length. It's slightly wild, curling slightly as it gets longer. His eyes are a pale, amber-tan color. He has a leaner and soft build, not very strong
Personality: Usually prefers words over fists. He's got quite a bit of trauma so he can be uncertain with some things, but he does his best to be as firm in his stances as he can so he doesn't get walked over
History: Jericho was originally raised Christian, with very devout parents and a close relationship with his priest, who was like a mentor to him. Jericho found out fairly early on that he was gay, and did his best to repress it because of his parents' beliefs. He told his priest, who told him that he shouldn't tell lies to himself, that he was just a boy and didn't know what he was talking about.
Jericho ended up turning away from Christianity, both for the abuse and grief his parents gave him after find out he was gay, and the emotional and psychological abuse from his priest. He started trying to become more comfortable with who he was, away from their negative influences.
Other: In his original conception, Jericho's priest ended up being a literal, honest to hell, demon, a fact that Jericho only found out when he himself was turned into one, after having been groomed by his priest. He became a doubt demon, his own doubts for himself turning against others, making them question their own reality. He found a group of others that took him in and helped him out of the destructive cycle, where he was able to learn to accept himself and others.

Sexuality: Gay??? I think?? Might be bi, though doesn't like fem aligned people and prefers masc aligned
Original Species: Dragon (base form humanoid and can shift into dragon)
Appearance: Wiry and thin, Rukaa still bears his characteristic dark brown, longer hair he often forgets to brush (though is starting to be put in braids at times) and dark olive skin. He is hardly ever seen without a weapon of some kind and though he still holds some remnants of his youth, the haunting, look in his intense, bright orange eyes give him the appearance of being older.
Personality: Rukaa is fiery and short tempered. He acts before he can think things over, and likes to claim that he hates getting close to other people but in reality cares and loves just as intensely.
History: His home was destroyed and family killed when he was just a child, though Rukaa was able to escape with the help of his father. His father died in the escape, but Rukaa was able to run fast enough to get away from the attackers. He ended up running into the Witch's forest, an immensely powerful dragon in their lands, and, through a stroke of fate, ended up sort of striking a deal with him, allowing Rukaa to stay in the forest.
Over the decades he spent in the forest, Rukaa had a falsely strained relationship with the Witch— both were always arguing and insulting each other, but the Witch genuinely cared about Rukaa and thought of him as family, and Rukaa did the same, though both sides went unsaid. When the Witch got a partner, Rukaa grew close with him too, the Assassin.
After a time, Rukaa was kidnapped by the Assassin's former employer, who intended on using him as a bartering chip against the Witch in order to get the Assassin back. However, the Witch and the Assassin left Rukaa to the Ringleader, who took him back home.
Rukaa was upset with being abandoned, and turned to the Ringleader who kept offering him a new life, since his old one didn't want him back. He began to work for the Ringleader, becoming what is essentially his right hand.
Other: His original history might sound a bit fucked up and stockholm-y, but I do want it to be stated very clearly that the world Rukaa comes from doesn't have the morality that we do in ours- there is nothing inherently/legally bad with kidnapping or killing, it's more about who you offend and who wants to avenge whoever was hurt. Rukaa made his decision to join the Ringleader's side with a clear and conscious mind, evaluating his own situation and deciding he wanted nothing more to do with the Witch and the Assassin, other than being upset and angry they abandoned him.
On that note, Rukaa does have a dragon I made for him on Flight Rising with more detailed lore if you're interested! He's also trans.

while in the future i might use her for other things, someone has contacted me saying they're interested in a rp with kiyote so she's occupied for the time being! i'm keeping her here to demonstrate some of my types of characters

Original Species: Half Elf/Werewolf
Appearance: Kiyote is very short, about 5'2, with tanned bronze skin. She has a rounded face and her pinkish-brown hair is straight and shoulder length. She has freckles and pointed ears, though not quite long, and her eyes are a deep forest green. She's strong and active.
Personality: Kiyote is very energetic, likely due to her werewolf heritage, and as a kid had the tendency to say what she wanted when she wanted it. She's since tempered and learned to filter what she says a bit more. She is very compassionate and isn't afraid to roll around in the mud- in fact, she very much enjoys doing literally that.
History: Don't have anything very specific

Appearance: Described in his origins as wearing ripped jeans with dirty sneakers, a broken watch with a shattered glass face, a too-small leather jacket, and black veins that start at his fingers and spread underneath his sleeves. He has solid black eyes that glint silver and pale hair.
As time passes the veins move up to his face around his eyes and have spread to his feet, which are black and tipped in claws, the same as his hands.
Personality: Quiet and uncertain, wants things to be better desperately but doesn't know how to make them be. Does his best with what he can, clings to the people he can trust.
History: Once very strong and proud, Eae was an angel that fought against demons and watched over the Earth. When the angels retreated from an attack, Eae was accidentally left behind when the doors closed, and he isn't able to open them from this side. Being stuck on Earth, he's started to become something that's not quite an angel and he's scared.
Other: Eae was originally created in a duel poem set I wrote over the last couple years. I don't really have the exact story, only that they were suspecting the apocalypse was starting, and he wasn't able to make it through the doors in time.
