Hello. I've always been interested in fantasy though I'm also fascinated by evolution and biology and history and interaction so why not blend it together.
To start with, evolution and 'magic' exist with each other in this world, called 'Los' in tandem. All life forms have common relation derived from a single luca (last universal common ancestor) in the early oceans, though the presence of 'magic' is something that is intrinsically woven into the world. I put magic in quotations since it isn't some supernatural force derived from deities or via mystical means, but rather an unexplainable manipulation and intrusion of different dimensions. Los exists in three spacial dimensions like our Earth, but harnessing 'magic' has to do with manipulating the unperceptible dimensions that the organisms of this world are unable to comprehend due to their 3 dimensional nature to do what you want. I'm basically deriving an extremely fantastical universal system from unsubstantiated theory in the real world.
There are two continents in the world, the Eastern, Yhidain, and the Western, Ossor. The world has about the same climactic variety as our own albiet overral colder temperatures and an iceplate which extends to the northern regions of either continent. Yhidain is colder and snowier and has a greater extent of boreal forests, whereass Ossor has tundra, taiga, mediterranean, desert, and tropics dependic on the region. Yhidain is larger than Ossor though about 50% is covered in glacial ice, whereas Ossor only has about 15% coverage. Fae live in Yhidain and Humans in Ossor. The world is currently in an ice age.
PLOT: The main rudimentary plot I know is that tensions are reaching a boiling point as Human colonies begin forming on the west coast Yhidain, much to the aggravation of the Faeries. The Humans nations and the Faeries absolutely despise each other and World War is imminent following the planned destruction of one of the colonies which left little survivors. The Human nations have enemies with eachother though they are more than willing to put such differences aside in order to create wartime alliances in the case of war with Yhidain. The biggest exception are the Nomadi Uur, who are more than likely to invade and take advantage of times of weakness and distraction in Ossor. Additionally, the Faeries want to annex a large chunk of the Western Coast of Ossor that historically was inhabited by the Fae, which is currently being inhabited by a great deal of humans including an important trade city under the jurisdiction of Dongguo. A conclave is being held in the island of Whet, positioned nearly exactly in between the two major continents- though things are unfolding in the background that create troubles for the interesting persons of the Conclave. Sabotages made to their arrival. Foreboding messages. Apparitions? Who could these mysterious antagonists be and what do their actions forbode?
Let me know if you are interested! I'll create a group rp chat for discussions. Just state if you're interested in a public reply and I'll inquire further in dms! I need help in solidfying the human kingdoms.
!!! There should be a balance between Faeries and humans. We can't all be one or the other, the rp dynamic only makes sense if theres an even amount of both.!!!
4 to 7 people including myself sounds like a good amount. Two people are onboard which leaves 5 empty spots.

There are two genuses of ape that consist of intelligent life, all existing in certain regions that live in a world that has a different face to our own:
Homo: The Genus Homo embodies a stark dichotomy with the genus Fae. Unlike the latter, homo has not evolved the ability to tap into other dimensions, hence, no magic
Homo-Sapiens, 'Humans' (225 million): Biologically identical to real world homo-sapiens. In this world they have began to move northward into the range of the neanderthals, and are known for their versality and their ability to innovate extremely well. Homo Sapiens have strongly nit social fabrics. They show a great range of creativity and ability to adapt to a broad range of climates. The most advanced Homo-sapiens live in societies comparable to the Victorian with a grasp of science comparable to post-scientific revolution Darwinism characterized with a mix of theology. Due to their wide spread, Homo-Sapiens possess extremely divergent cultures and technological levels, as well as varying physical appearances depending on the ethnicity. Homo Sapiens inhabit the southern and central regions of Ossor, though are currently pushing into northern Ossor and Western Yhidain
Neanderthals, 'northern folk', or, derogatory, 'the ugly folk' (Population- 20,000 thousand): Similar to and partially breedable with Homo-Sapiens, Neanderthals are their shorter and more cold-oriented cousins. They have adopted a more specialized niche in the colder regions of the north, and have suffered in numbers and spread due to competition with the Homo Sapiens as they continue to migrate north with their kingdoms. Reports have spread of widespread disease and deaths. Neanderthals live in hunter-gatherer societies, more isolated and less social than Homo-Sapiens. The scientifc circles in the most advanced Homo-sapien Kingdoms know Neanderthals to be a different species, but culturally most Homo-sapiens in contact with Neanderthals consider them to be a weird looking group of their own species and refer to each other as both 'humans', which is still taxonomically correct in name. The Neanderthals live in a sparse range in northern Ossor
Fae: For some reason which is not yet understood, millions of years ago the common ancestor of all species of fae evolved the ability to tap into other spatial dimensions, and thus posses magic and have evolved to integrate it in their biology. In present time there is only one Fae species left.
Fae-quattoralis, 'Faeries' (Population- 200 million): These people are gracile with four, muscular wings on their backs, anatomically similar to highly derived tongues, covered in chitin which give them a superificially similar appearance to dragonfly wings. They posses pearlescant skin, smooth straight hair which ranges from white to black, and shifting eyes which can adapt to long-distance sight to short. Their nimble movements in flight is believed to be empowered partially by magic. The language of Faeries is impossible to be pronounced by Humans due to their unique vocal structure, and is transmitted partially through thought, but they still can speak human languages synthetically through magic. Faeries have a fundumentally different brain structure through divergent evolution and influence by magic, and often have instances where humans and fairies cannot understand each other's motives and reasonings due to this difference. They are more empathetic, and strangely, are not able to deceive. The concept of lying makes no sense to them, though are very aware that humans do possess deceit and distrust them for it. Technologically speaking they are about on par with the most advanced human kingdoms, though are much more homogenous then them, possesing only one language and only a few variations of culture and appearance by region. Faeries actually developed civilization MUCH earlier than humans, but developed much slower due to a less ability to innovate, and complications due to migration to the Eastern continent. The Faeries live currently entirely in Yhidain, spread throughout but have the most population on the Western coast, though migration further inland is a continuous gradual process.
Others: The other Fae species went extinct at various different points in history and pre-history. They manifest in modernity as legends and folk creatures by both human population and Fae legends on the Eastern continent

In the Western continent of Ossor there exists a plethora of different human cultures. Of these, there are a few major political entities which stand as having the greatest influence within the continent:
East) Dongguo, The Golden Empire, "Jīnzǐcháo"- Demonyms: Jinnese, Dōngguó Rén (endonym). Dongguo is one of the most lasting civilizations on the continent, and has been ruled by dynasties for thousands of years. They were the first to develop writing, possess the oldest legal system, and currently conduct an interconnected trade throughout Ossor for precious materials and luxury goods not found elsewhere. The Jinnese are largely irreligious unlike their pious neighbours, and follow a moral code called the Róngyù shǒuzé which serves as the foundation for social hiearchy, norms, familial structure, as well as way to live life and view the world. As the Easternmost culture they inhabit the coast, and as such have the most extensive seafaring technology alongside the Duraseans. Of the Human Kingdoms they have the most strained relations with the Fae, currently over land disputes which consists of a great deal of their peninsula due to historical reasonings.
Central) Wennland- Demonym: Wennish. The Wennish are a powerful sea exploring nation that emerged from previously obscure tribes writing in runes and built on a warrior society under the role of ancient empires. Extremely culturally and economically interconnected with Duraise as allies, the two share intellectual movements and ideas quite frequently, and are two major nations of the north that are currently the most powerful. The Wennish are known for their gothic architecture- cities paved with cobblestone and buildings chiseled from grey rock into beautiful monoliths scratching at the sky with their narrow peaks. Wennland is ruled by King Aethelred I of the Hautenbergs, a diplomatic man that seeks to expand the reaches of Wennland with its ever growing power. The Wennish are one of the nations to have set up colonies in Yhidain.
Central)The Duraise Empire, "L'Empire Duraise"- Demonym: Duraseans, Les Horleaux (endonym). The Duraseans are one of the most wealthy and major nations of Ossor, and are known for their culture and refinement. The Duraseans are often stereotyped as being austentatious and pretentious, placing too great of an emphasis on aesthetics rather than on functionality and strength. Though they may have intricately architectured city squares and wear ellaborate costumes and wigs, the Duraseans are currently at the center of literary, scientific, and philosophical culture in Ossor, at the forefront of radical new concepts concerning the natural order and biology. The Duraise Empire is led by a man named Aldéric Le Terrible, a man who userped the position of Emperor through force and created a period of terror leading up and at the start of his reign. Aldéric Le Terrible is largely responsible for how large the Empire has grown, encorperating once many independent small nations and dutchies into its own as well as expanding further north, encrouching upon the Red Kingdom's territory. The Duraseans are one of the nations to have set up colonies in Yhidain.
North)The Red Kingdom, "Krasnaya-ruania"- Demonym: Krassians, Ruanski (endonym). The Red Kingdom is an imperialistic force built on the backs of serfdom located in the north of the continent, stretching as far north as just south of the ice plate and the glacial sea. The Red Kingdom is ruled by Borislav II who conducts his affairs from the Crystal Capitol, a city holding much prestige and remarked as one steeped in culture and sophistication, known for music and its influential writers. The Red Kingdom currently is facing the problem of sacks and raids conducted by the Uur, a nomadic horse-riding group from the North West. Due to constant instability The Red Kingdom has developed into a powerful militaristic nation, with robust systems of defense and leading the world in terms of technology for war. The Army of the Red Hand often is seen marching throughout the nation and also in neighbouring countries, the charachteristic fur ligned crimson and brown uniform serving as a symbol of authority and strength. Krassians are often viewed as being blunt and cold and quite pessimistic, as well as extremely superstitious in the countryside. Fae were once plentiful here and as such manifest in Krassian folk tales as the Rusalka, Baba Yaga, and Striga, as well as others. In recent decades Borislav II has become extremely interested in Ossor, and while he has not created any colonies there, he has a vested interest in the allianceship with the Duraseans to procure possible resources found in the East, militarizing the Duraseans with proper arms and funding as well as placing Red Hand personnel on the coast.
NorthWest) The Uur. The Uur are a nomadic, militaristic people that live on the steppes of the NorthWestern regions of Ossor, dressed often in thick fur-ligned clothing that shows little in embellishment unless in the time of the summer festival, when women put on ellaborate dresses and headpieces colored shades of blue, white, and green, decorated in heavy coins. The Uur practice a shaminist faith called Zurkhism, a relgion which places emphasis on the connection between humanity, nature, and the spirit world. They believe in one titular deity which created their people. The Uur operate on a khanate system, a fractured system derived from the Uur Empire which broke apart about 200 years prior and once covered the entirety of Krasnaya-Ruania to the northern reaches of Markazistan
West)
South (Plateau) Markazistan- Demonym: Markasi. The Markasi are masters of architecture in an arid plateau, a nation characterized by vast diversity and stability despite having one of the greates plurality of interests and population sizes within its borders. They build beautiful domed temples laden with richly colored mosaic, sweeping structures constructed from sandstone built to circulate dry hot air and intricately woven in gardens that puts the Duraseans to shame. The Markasi are known for their complex and hypnotic dance and music, the cultural pole of the south in contrast to the northern pole of Duraise. Initially the Markasi placed trading hubs on the coast of Yhidain but in more recent times have attempted permanant settlements in the rare warmer regions of the continent due to their abundance of natural ore.
South (Desert) The Dubane. The Dubane are a collective of different nomadic and settled tribes that practice similar cultures and speak similar languages that live in the Asinai desert. The Dubane often serve as intermediaries in the trade network as traders seek passage through the hostile desert in exchange for gold and goods. The food of the Dubane is said to be the most delicious despite its simplicity, rich in aromatic spices. A lot is stereotyped and unknown about the Dubane due to their remote location, but friendliness is a universally remarked upon characteristic of them by oustiders.
South (Tropics) A'akham- Demonym: A'akhites. The Tropics are considered hostile and disease ridden by the people of the north, but fertile and brimming with life to its natives who know how to cultivate it. A'akham populations are centered around the fertile river and especially the delta bleeding into the south. The A'akhite's are deeply spiritual people that believe in the power of death and afterlife, conducting many rituals involving embalming and festivities for the dead to pass on. The region is richly interconnected- boast and fishermen and cities bustling with people from all over A-akham trading and selling their goods. The A'akhites are known for their distinctive gold tipped step pyramids, meant to serve as both resting places for the dead and a way to honor their deity of the Sun, Rada. A'ahkam is also a premium place for the Markasi, Jinnese, and the Duraseans to source medicinal plants and spices.
