THE DELACROIX FAMILY
A notorious vampire family hailing from France, no one is quite sure how old the Delacroix family is, but since the early thirteenth century they've held positions of political and social power while hiding their identity as vampires throughout. Currently, in the modern century, the head of the family is Mama Gillian. Her late husband, who she had beheaded herself was an original vampire she'd used to birth two children, twins. The eldest by five minutes Loretta or Lottie Delacroix, and Damien Delacroix. Mama Gillian also has three adopted children who have shown potential, Sev Delacroix, Ginger Delacroix, and the baby of the family Benji Delacroix. Other members include Gillian's sisters and their children, and their children's children as well as a multitude of worker bee's, bodyguards, and blood banks. In the supernatural world the Delacroix family is well known for their ferocious and underhanded ways of maintaining power.
The youngest of the Delacroix family, Benjamin or more aptly known as Benji is a fun loving, excitable vampire whose teeth haven't quite come in yet. He's only a few hundred years old, after all, turned by the eldest daughter of the head vamp after she took pity on his dying human form. Benji was originally born and raised in Korea, living until the age of twenty as a simple farm worker when he contracted a horrible disease. He was known as the village's most sought after bachelor for all their young daughters, and yet his parents could never get him to marry, he met Lottie while attempting to stow himself away on a boat to the free world to seek treatment. He would've died on that boat if it wasn't for her, and to this day the two are still incredibly close. Benji is one of three Delacroix members who aren't related by blood, and oddly enough one of mama Gillian's favorites. Perhaps its the mix of his sunny disposition and killer instincts, but he's definitely a force to be reckoned with. Always high energy and looking to do the next fun thing, Benji is always travelling to meet new people and learn new things. Though his family isn't fond of his nomadic tendencies, they prefer to keep their members close and out of harms way. Vampire hunters, angry werewolves, fae who prey on young vamps ... Benji always lets his impulsive nature make his decisions for him and it tends to land him in hot water more often than not. As a Delacroix, he sometimes forgets he's now family to some of the most notorious vampires around and that status is not easy to live up to. But he tries ... most of the time. Standing at five foot ten, with curly black hair and dark brown eyes, Benji is a Korean man who appears to be in his twenties but is actually closer to three hundred years old. He has a love for street fashion, spicy foods, and his job as a member of the delacroix family is to make new connections ( as his fangs haven't grown in quite yet, he hasn't been given a relatively important job. )
Loretta Delacroix, known as Lottie to many, is a thousand year old vampire with a thirst for the high life. Currently she is known as a vlogger and social media influence with over a million followers at her fingertips. Though the money is good for her, she comes from an influential vampire family and has been rich all her life. Born an original, meaning conceived and birthed by a vampire, Lottie is much stronger than turned vamps and uses this to her advantage. She is fast, can morph her hands into claw like weapons, and knows her way around a gun if need be. All her years, she's refused to find a lover and instead works tirelessly for her family by making them as much money as possible. From an apothecary business, to a dancing career, and on now to her social media career she's constantly raked in as much revenue as humanly possible to keep her family part of the top tier. A bit of a mean streak going for her, Lottie is known within the supernatural world for her ruthlessness. She's the one her mother expects to collect any debts, work on shakedowns, and kill anyone who so much as hints at being a threat. She has a sweet face, and a love for her family, but she won't hesitate to shed blood if needed; especially if it means keeping her loves ones safe. Lottie stands at five foot five, she's athletically built with brown eyes and brown hair. She tends to style herself much like a gym rat would, and she's an avid party goer.
The one known to get his hands dirty, Damian Delacroix is the younger twin brother ( by five minutes, he'll always remind people ) of Lottie Delacroix. Unlike his sister he keeps his face out of the lime light and instead works privately. He invests and owns a few companies, brings in a decent amount of money, but his job within the family is well revered simply because he's the one who disposes of more powerful competitors. Born with the ability, much like his late fathers, to read and control minds Damian is not much of a people person simply because it's exhausting hearing all they have to think. He finds solace in seers, or fae who can easily block his abilities from reaching into the depths of his mind; and those few vampires who can also do the same. His time is usually spent within the family estate keeping an eye on the two younger vamps or heading out on a job. He is the one Delacroix Mama Gillian doesn't bother to worry about, because she's well aware he knows how to handle himself. Standing at five foot eleven with dark brown shaggy hair and deep green eyes, Damian is a looker and on numerous occasions his mother has tried marrying him off to rich vampire women. Unfortunately for her, he has a stubborn streak a mile long just like his sister.
Ginger Delacroix is the genuine sweetheart of the family, a young twenty something with an affinity for animals despite her vampire instincts. She has a familiar, her pet fox Nine who stays by her side constantly. She was once a dying socialite born in the early fifteen hundreds when Mama Gillian had found her, accused of witchcraft and thrown in a cell to rot simply because she possessed with ability of divination. Not a witch, just gifted, Mama Gillian watched as the poor girl died and bit her at the last minute. Her transformation was a gruesome one, considering seers tend to gain their gifts from beings of light the fact that she was slowly turning into a being of the night was a clear abomination to the laws of the universe. No less, she did turn, and is now a member of a loving and supportive family that has helped her hone her skills for the good of said family. She's always one step ahead of every body else, she knows where Benji is at all times, how Damien is feeling, why Lottie isn't home yet and who Sev's newest lover is. She keeps to herself at the family estate, taking to her animals and gaining knowledge day by day. Ginger keeps a handful of divination tools on her, tarot cards, teacups, a crystal ball, ruin stones; she has no shortage of ways to tell you just how your life is going to turn out. Sometimes, to gain favor of friends and foe alike, Mama Gillian will lend her services to other vampire families; but it's a rare occasion. Ginger generally always has her head in the clouds, a dreamer with a kind heart and little blood lust unlike her siblings. She refuses to partake in the dirty side of their family business, and instead is a scholar making them proud. Standing at five foot three with long blonde and curly hair, after her death Ginger's eyes went a milky white to make it appear as though she is blind. But she can see you, even more than you probably want to be seen, trust me on that one.
Sev Delacroix is a real sack of shit, the disappointment of the family, he was rescued by Mama Gillian's right hand at the time during the French Revolution simply because he was good at bullshitting his way out of situations he'd gotten himself into by being a douche bag. An owner of strip clubs and brothels alike, Sev also works side by side with the boys and girls working at his clubs simply because he loves to party. A drinker, a drug taker, a whore in his own right. He doesn't do much for the family, shows up for dinners and makes Ginger laugh most days, Sev does however have an increasingly large network of people and he tends to buy secrets with his body. Secrets that have aided the Delacroix family multiple times in the past, which is why Mama Gillian hasn't beheaded him quite yer. He can be useful, when he wants to be. Standing at five foot eight with ginger hair, cerulean blue eyes and a smirk that makes his face both kissable and punchable Sev is definitely something else.
