Thanks to you fine people, the Inner Sanctum spent all of last month in the top 3 on TopRPsites. No good deed should go unrewarded and so we've purchased a major new add-on (Well, I say we... I of course mean @Mia )
Please be sure to keep voting—we have more goodies on our to-do list
What we've added:
1. Contact buttons. These should now let you start conversations with any user from anywhere they have posted, no more searching
2. Local Time is now visible on user cards
3. New Medals!!! Courtesy of @Otys, we will have Medals for Participation in Sanctum Melee, for posting a Mugshot, for posting a solo work of writing or of art or for using number 4...
4. The Big One: User Blogs!!!
I trust most of you already have a sense of what a blog is. So I'll just explain Sanctum Blogs and how they work:
To create a New Blog, just scroll up to the top bar and click the link. The Option to make your own will be right there.
As of right now, there are three categories. We will add more, based on how the feature is actually used. The current ones are:
1. Writing—This is for you to discuss Writing in general, your process, your roleplays, post solo works, anything you like.
2. Slice of Life—For you to blog about anything in your day to day life. Events, hobbies, random thoughts and so on
3. Controversial—This is the place for rants, for politics, for religion, for any topic that tends to get a rise out of people. WARNING: We're all adults here. Adults can entertain an idea without agreeing with it. If this turns into a flame war between people, we will remove those people from blogging.
Blogs will require Moderator approval before posting. This might create a slight delay before your post goes up, but we have enough mods and admins that unless posted at an extremely odd hour in the morning, approval should be rapid.
The Rules:
1. No hate speech, overt racism, sexism, homophobia or similar. Linking to sites that promote such agendas is likewise forbidden.
2. No negative posts regarding other users or the site itself. These are not your platform to "Call people out". Such things should be discussed in private with staff. You can speak in general terms regarding users, but not in any way that would make them easily identifiable. Positive mentions are allowed, if kept reasonable.
3. No Linking off site. The only exceptions are:

This is an idea still in its infancy. Please feel free to give suggestions amidst your glowing praise of our efforts in the comments below.
Essentially, our hope is to use @sanctumstaff as an account to post official blog entries from time to time. The REAL hope is that these will be user written and contributed, earning medals and prestige among your peers.
The focus of this blog is going to be helping users improve their writing. Each post will be a detailed explication of SOME aspect of writing. That will be quite broadly defined. Anything from tips regarding a certain style/type of roleplay , to expositions on how to use a particular punctuation mark. A full list of suggestions for topics will likely be forthcoming, but if you have any interest in writing one or even just potentially writing one, send me (as in @JamesMartin) a PM with the title "Sanctum Blog".
All posts will be credited to their writer and edited before posting. Some submissions might not be accepted or they might require revision.
And thus comes the end of a long announcement. Thank you all for your continued effort and hopefully we can include even more features as our site grows.
