Synopsis
———————
There is a darkness in us all. At times it is more palpable within some, than others. It manifests in different ways, and maybe that darkness can metaphorically glow brighter than any beacon on the continent. In the quaint countryside of a rural town like any other, a beacon was ignited out of any person's control. It came in the form of a baby. This baby was born to a nurturing grain farmer and his loving wife. There was nothing special about them, really— special in the mindset of their genus. They were human as could be, and not a fleck of 'otherworldly creature' tainted their DNA. This couple was pure-blooded human. So how could it be that their own child was one of the brightest beacons of darkness to ever exist? That is a question few can answer. How did Aodan come to be?

The darkness started at a young age. When he was 9, a fascination with fire developed. Anger. Fits of rage. The child grew uncontrolled and acted with a temper most would just chalk up to poor parenting. That was not the case, especially since the entire village knew his parents to be the prime example of perfect mother and fatherhood. These obsessions and outbursts did not deter his parents, mind you. They continued to try and help Aodan learn to control his anger. Sadly, these attempts would prove useless. On the young man's 16th birthday, he set a fire to the farm. It was a catastrophic event that nearly leveled a quarter of the village. In the middle of this unbelievable event, his parents professed claims that would tarnish Aodan's future forever. His mother screamed "I saw it in his eyes! The Devil! He set fire to our home within seconds!" His father claimed, "The bastard is the conjuration of satan himself. He brought the fires of hell into our lives and he plans to destroy this entire village. Maybe the world!" So much for exceptional examples of parenthood. It was true, though. Aodan conjured fire with merely a glance of his burning eyes. In the middle of a family fight, his chaos was unleashed within moments. Out of fear, his parents could only comprehend it to be one thing— witchcraft.

After a failed attempt at killing the child in mass hysteria, the village had no idea what do with him. With a 'hanging tree' in embers and several destroyed jail cells, they were running out of options. It wasn't until a band of mages were contacted in hopes that their knowledge in 'darkness' would rid the quaint countryside of this rather hot-headed monster. This was the first step in Aodan's journey. The time spent with these mages taught him how to harness his power; how to control it. They taught him how to control his anger; his emotions. This was the only way the pyromantic could keep himself, and others, safe from the fire in his soul. Years passed, but this was only one stop on Aodan's journey. He was discovered by the royal guard, and this would guarantee him a position among the elite of the continent. Since every king needed an upper hand against the rest, Aodan was taken in as a secret weapon. He was weaponized and used by the military to scare, or even indirectly kill, their enemies.

[(Cont. for further plot devices.)
Unknowingly, the young pyromantic would be marked by his downfall when that weaponization went horribly wrong. A truly traumatic event would leave the young man broken-hearted and with the blood of many on his hands. A city in embers would cause Aodan to flee, leaving his military position and existence as a whole behind. Alone; he wanders the continent searching for purpose again.]

A poised fighter, a trained pyromancer, a skilled bard and a beautiful soul—all lost to the darkness he still can't quite control. In the wrong hands, Aodan could mean the destruction of this world… so he snuffed out his existence in order to protect himself and others. Will you join him in his quest for purpose? A protector? A friend? A lover?…A Deceiver?

Abilities
———————
The Fire Inside: Aodáns power is a mix of Pyromancy and Pyrokinesis. Through the knowledge he was given of using magick to activate his abilities, it granted him the understanding to control it. His abilities are fueled mainly by the creation of fire, but since this can verge into Chaos-- the pyrokinetic must control it at all costs.
When his ability is activated, often times you'll see it in his eyes before anything else. They will shift in hue from golden amber to glowing yellow; almost as if there were actual kilns behind his irises.

Aodán must have control over his emotions at all times. Any reckless, emotional, or impulsivity he may have could ignite his pyrokinesis. He's only let the ability engulf him entirely once, forming complete chaos in himself-- and leveling an entire village. All of which was urged and manipulated by his his military leaders in charge. This is what caused him to flee into hiding out of fear of killing others against his will. With his 'cursed' ability comes longevity, and to his knowledge-- he is immortal. It seems as if he stopped aging after his 25th year.

Aodán does have his weaknesses. A mage familiar in pyromancy could easily subdue/control him. Freezing temperatures tend to weaken his abilities as well. Even with his immortality/longevity, he still can not regenerate or restore his health quickly. If he has a fatal wound, he will only be able to use magick in order to temporarily fix the problem or potentially speed up healing. WIP.

Magick: Most of his enchantments are done with sigils; oftentimes drawn on surfaces for protection, containment, and control. Some magick does not need enchantments, however. Certain temporary healing and protection spells can be administered with intent and the movement of his fingers and the speaking of a few words. WIP
Secondary Abilities: Hand to Hand combat, Skilled Swordsman, Effective survival skills.
Artistic abilities: Charcoal Rendering, Guitar and singing.

Rafael Del Rosso
Gender: Male
Species: Human
Age: 29
Hair: Chestnut Brown
Eyes: Blue
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 195 lbs
Build: Muscular
Orientation:Homosexual
Occupation: Cartographer
Natural Alignment: Lawful Good
Synopsis
———————
At a young age, Rafael always had the better nature to care for those around him. Both of his parents were happy, loving individuals and that transposed to his upbringing. Born in a merchant port, the young man was raised with the sea in his veins. His father was a tradesman, and spent most of his traveling by boat and transporting goods around the continent. Frequently he would leave Rafael in the care of his mother while he spent months out of the year away at sea. This had a lasting impression on the young man, and he strived to be as driven as his father to devote his life to the sea as well. When he was of age, Raf finally had the ability to accompany his father on one of his voyages.

Marauders were a problem for most sea-faring individuals, but in his father's 40+ years of being a merchant-- nothing that serious had occurred. That was until Rafael's first voyage. While at sea, a group of ravagers stole onto their ship and took over the crew. Taking the entire vessel hostage, they stole all of their product and supplies. At the young age of 17, this traumatic scenario left a scar on Rafael's mind. When the crew joked about killing the young man, his father attempted to intervene and he was killed in the process. Rafael was then captured and taken onto their vessel. In captivity, he was mistreated horribly. He endured months of this torture before a siren was captured and brought on board as well. Kept in the same barracks, he befriended her and this was the moment in his life that he knew he needed to be a voice to those who had none.

Through a long series of attempts, he was able to help the siren escape back to the sea. This nearly costed him his life at the hands of the ravagers. While docking in their first port since kidnapping Rafael, he too was able to escape. Diving off the bow of the ship, he swam amongst the waters and nearly drowned...that was until a certain siren helped him to shore. Now out of the hands of his captors, Rafael was taken in under the care of an elder cartographer. Living the rest of his adolescence with him and eventually learning how to be a map maker himself. Meshing his love for the sea, the need for adventure, the strength in knowledge, and the need to help those in need-- Rafael created his own path.

Some time passed in his learning as a map maker until he was hired by a wealthy socialite to travel the world and report back his findings. The socialite was old and crippled with no ability to travel the world safely. Instead of just imagining what the planet was like, he decided to pay someone to tell him tales and log his findings. The compromise was that Rafael could use this to accurately catalog different 'supernatural' species around the world to accurately learn their ways and where they held dominion. This was all done in hopes of creating healthier and safer relationships between them and humans. The socialite agreed and Rafael began to make money doing what he loved.

He now travels the world; from port to port and kingdom to kingdom with a small crew to help him on his quest for knowledge...and peace.

Abilities
———————
Knowledge: Rafael is a wealth of wisdom when it comes to the world he exists in. He knows each continent, forest, kingdom, and oceanic path very well. This came from life experience and hours of his adolescence reading every journal and book he possible could on the inhabitants of these lands. He travels with a library of reference material, maps he's created, and journals he's hand written that log every interaction with 'non-human' beings around the world.
Combat: He is a skilled swordsman and well versed in hand-to-hand combat.
Magick: Having spent some time among mage camps, he was effectively taught a few spells to aid in survival and combat.
Secondary Abilities: Effective survival skills
Artistic abilities: Painting and Rendering

Ronan Faolan
Gender:
Male
Species: Unseelie Fae
Court: Fitheach Dorcha (Dark Raven)
Age: Appears 22 (Actual age depends on timeline)
Hair: Soft brown
Eyes: Blue/Green
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 155 lbs
Build: Lean
Orientation:Homosexual
Occupation: Prince of his Court (Possibly former depending on timeline)
Natural Alignment: Lawful Neutral

Synopsis
———————
The court Fitheach Dorcha, or the Dark Raven, rules over a kingdom deep below the earth's surface. It is nestled within its own cold and wintery realm that no mortal can enter without the aid of court member. Ronan, born to King Corvus, is prince of this court. He is one of 12 members on the court that keeps watch over this massive kingdom. Each member of the court is responsible for managing a specific faction of it. Ronan's responsibility is over affairs above the surface. In a world that is governed by mankind, a species that his court has been taught to hate, he tends to spend most of his time spying on them. This plays a big factor on the livelihood of their court, and the sacred forest and gateway that lays above.

Ronan is pious, calloused and rather crude when it comes to the affairs of humans. While on his little missions above the surface to snoop and spy, he would often be quite the little trickster with mortals that crossed his path. This dark and rather unfortunate idea of humanity was forged from years of mistreatment of their kind. Fae were considered monsters to humans and the idea of eradicating their courts has always been forefront thought. Unseelie Fae were deemed baby-killers; feral beings that lived within the woods that lured people to their untimely deaths. Often times killed on sight, captured and sold to vampires for alliances with mortals, or worse-- this persecution has lead fae (specifically his court) to be just as vindictive. Many humans have died at their hands, fueled solely on revenge for their fallen fae comrades.

Going to the surface is a dangerous act that no other member of Fitheach Dorcha was brave enough to do. Since Ronan's abilities in shapeshifting and glamour are stronger than most, the task was an easy one for him to undertake.

(In an alternate version of his story, he falls in love with a human that breaks his heart. This gets Ronan banished from his court and forced to live amongst humanity. This can be touched on if the other writer is interested in Ronan's fall from power.)

Abilities
———————
Shapeshifting: Ronan has the ability to shift his form into creatures he has previously come in contact with. When he meets a creature/animal/person, he can leech a bit of their essence and is able to use it as a cloak for later on. Dependent on the creature, it takes more energy for him to expend and more time he'd need to spend with that creature to truly shift accurately. For example: Shifting into a pigeon expends little to no energy but shifting into a person is much harder. Ronan needs to absorb that persons energy to add it to his rolodex of 'skins' and to even learn their mannerisms to only further the 'trick.'

Glamour/Mesmerization: Ronan can use his abilities to project scenarios that are not necessarily real into a person's mind. He can make your desires and dreams manifest but at the end of the day it's usually just a trick. This infiltration of the mind also means he has a form of telepathy and can choose to speak to a person directly into their mind. This is his second most powerful trait, and can often times be lead to controlling a person entirely (whether by sensation, glamor, or fear.)

Oneirokinesis: Dream infiltration. He can influence the person's dreams and even project himself inside of them.

Secondary Abilities: Immortality, strength, regeneration, manipulation of the elements.
Artistic abilities: Wood Carving, Wood Flute

Weaknesses: He can not give the other person his full name. If he did, then that would mean the other would have complete control over this abilities as a fae. Certain traits of his mesmerization doesn't work on every creature. It may be harder for him to glamour a vampire, where as its very easy for him to glamour a human. This can also be discussed ahead of time.

Elias of Kronus

Gender: Male
Species: Vampire
Age: Appears 22 (Around 600 years old)
Hair: Fiery Orange-Red
Eyes: Honey
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 175 lbs
Build: Lean/Muscular
Orientation:Homosexual

Brief Synopsis:

During his Humanity, Elias was the son to a wealthy socialite family that had a large claim to a massive part of the continent 600 years ago. His homeland of Tiche was regarded as the golden wonder of the world. Similar to that of ancient Greece, it was lavish, exotic and decadent— similar words used to describe Elias. A charming young man taken within his prime, he was training to join the military. Gifted with the physicality of a god, he existed with traits that were only heard of within mythos. Hair red as fire, eyes colored like that of pure honey, skin as fair as raw silk; he was a jewel to the people of Tiche. Untouched by a pious ego, he was tender and caring given his rather wealthy upbringing. It made him a prime target for darkness and very easily coveted by those who idolized beauty. Lord Dmitri Kronus (a very powerful vampire) invaded part of Tiche, subsequently the part that Elias resided in. When Dmitri's clan at the time ransacked this area, Elias was taken from his family and presented to the vampire. Completely enthralled with this man's beauty, the Lord fell to his knees in an act of pure submission. Even he was weak to this divine being's visage. Lord Kronus had to have him. Elias was offered an ultimatum: come with Dmitri and the young man's city would be spared. To his dismay, he accepted.

While in the care of Lord Kronus, Elias was treated like gold. The vampire wanted to woo the young man without the use of glamour, in hopes of locking in his allegiance naturally. These whims were well accepted and eventually Elias became a fledgling to Dmitri Kronus. After he was turned, Elias spent a large part of his immortality continuing to train for combat. With greater physical, mental and supernatural advantages than before-- he wanted to become something even stronger than the rest of his newfound genus. Like most of his vampiric counterparts, Elias developed very specific supernatural abilities. While his physical traits put him above the rest during his humanity, his mental abilities were what set him apart as a vampire. Elias was the jewel of Tiche, and remained one within his immortality. He became Lord Kronus' second to his court, an advisor and a lover. While the Lord would come to take many, Elias would remain his most important pupil and romantic entanglement.

Appearance:

Elias is as beautiful in death as he was in life. Preserved forever was his honey-colored eyes, his luscious fiery hair and the paleness of his perfect skin. With that came a few other changes, however. The tips of his ears are now pointed, slightly elongated incisors rest behind faintly pink lips, and his nails are claw-like and pointed. When he becomes enraged or feasts, his fingers grow more exaggerated and long; the irises of his eyes dilate to a scleral size, turning his entire eye bright yellow and forming his pupils into serpentine slits. His incisors elongate into thin, almost snake-like fangs. (Aesthetically matching his rather exotic and desert-like lineage.) Elias has a faint accent remaining from his life in Tiche. It sounds faintly Grecian in nature, as his native tongue's origin was similar to Latin. He has several gold earrings in both ears, dresses often in dark clothing and enjoys wearing decadent jewelry. Elias sports black armor that form fits to his body when in combat or presented with a distant travel and constant protection from sun exposure.

Personality:

What was once an altruistic and pleasant man has morphed into something much darker. Elias has become callused, cunning and manipulative. He's grown disinterested in most things that 'life' has to offer, considering the rest of his existence is devoted to the very man who turned him into the monster he is. He spent his life trying to become one of the strongest vampires because there was nothing else for him to do. Even now, the idea of feeding on humans has become so second nature— all remorse over the act has left his body. Elias is nothing but a shell of who he was, and it shows within his personality. After Kronus created his court, Elias was knocked from his pedestal. He was not treated as a jewel, but rather taken for granted by Lord Kronus to always be around. This has jaded him. With no reason to exist other than at the whims of his (previously obsessive) lover and creator, Elias is secretly wanting something more. That something may cost him his court and his immortality, however.

Abilities:

Elias has very similar abilities to most vampires. That said, there are vampires that have stronger abilities than others. Most of his power lays in his mental prowess. This has proven to be an immense advantage to Lord Kronus, seeing as Elias is always six steps ahead of his enemies. It makes him a skilled fighter, a stronger hunter, and persuasive diplomat within his court. That said, he can not do things like shape shift, nor has he unlocked any 'inner beast' that allows him to destroy his enemies. He relies solely on his mental abilities, skills in combat, and his relatively broad knowledge of dark magic. His weapon of choice is a rapier.

Mental Abilities: Heightened sense of hearing, Heightened Vision (akin to a predator in the wild), Telepathy, Dream Infiltration, Psychic Attack (Able to make a direct attack on the opponents mind), Heightened Perception (Able to make intuitive calls based on the people around him), Mental Connection (Able to pinpoint something happening at a distant location. This can be especially strong if it's of a person he's mentally bonded with), Psychic Persuasion (Able to bend someones will to his own. Essentially 'glamour'), Premonitions.

Magic: TBD

Physical Abilities: Immediate Regeneration of Wounds. Superhuman Strength and Agility/Speed. Hand to Hand combat. Sword Fighting.

Weaknesses: Sunlight can destroy him. Silver can harm him fatally depending on how long the contact is. Fatal wounds can kill him, resulting in massive blood loss. If he does not feed, then he will die. Beheading is the only way to truly kill him outside of sunlight.
