Hello, hi, how goes things?
I'm Shep, an awkward gay dude in his early thirties who's been writing and drawing and RPing since the screeching AOL dialup days-- but is maaaybe just a little out of practice due to life stuff getting in the way of hobbies. I decided to hop in on this forum because it resembles one of the places I used to play in a decade or more ago and I miss interacting with other artists. Hell. Might actually BE one of the places? Who knows, I don't! Also used to be active on Tumblr (pre-nsfw ban) with various Mad Max, Outlast, Dragon Age, and Story of Seasons fandom RPs. I got around.
My preferences flip wildly from monsters and creepy supernatural beings to Jane Austen romances and average guys working at gas stations. Fantasy, horror, grungy slice-of-life, it's all fun. M/M or M/F work fine for me, I like to mix things up sometimes, but there's an obvious lean toward The Gays. That said; not big on yaoi stereotypes (no judgement, I consumed a lot of it from teens to twenties and it's gotten stale for me), being steered single-mindedly to smut/shipping while I'm still trying to feel out characters' chemistry/establish a plot, or angst for angst's sake.
Hopefully I'll find some folk with similar tastes who don't mind me adding small illustrations to my posts. :,)
