Hello!
Hope you're reading this from the safety and comfort of your home, and I certainly hope you're staying healthy through all the scary stuff happening in the world right now.
With my abundance of free time, I've been rapidly becoming obsessed with developing siren OC's. I have a half-siren I'd like to use and a starter composed, so I figured I'd add it to this forum to see if anyone was interested in using their character against her. I have a bit of a preference for a more shy, cabin boy type for this but feel free to message me regarding your more brutish pirates. I'm honestly just itching to play her!
Just a bit of information about me before we start! I'm currently still working but since I can't go anywhere else I do have some extra free time. I can reply at least once a day and I expect the same from my partner. I'll do my best to keep you updated if I end up going away for extended periods of time.
I do prefer story and building relationships before anything sexual happens. I say once we get to that point we can discuss the relationship progressing from there. I want everything to feel natural and believe me, my character isn't just going to give it to any pretty boy, no matter how charming. With that, I'm actually pretty open to the direction of this- it can stay in the more "slice of life" category or we can flip to become a more action-adventure sprinkled with angst. There's so much backstory I have planned for this character that we can definitely expand!
If you have any specific questions about my OC (her name is Elaine) before we start, if you want to know some of her history, I can give you a rough outline in a pm. That being said, I don't want to reveal everything. I'm sure you have some stuff you want my character to discover about yours that might be a surprise!
There's the starter! I really hope to get some interesting characters. I hope whoever is reading this has a wonderful day!

The reflections of the street lanterns in the water made the sea look like an ever-shifting night sky. It was always particularly beautiful by the docks, as dangerous as this sport was. She just couldn't help herself. Drunken pirates always did keep the best secrets and she loved gaining new material for her future songs.
Unfortunately tonight seemed to be rather disappointing. Perhaps they ran out of ale. Most of the town seemed unusually quiet, the faint sounds of crickets chirping from the bushes. Elaine huffed as she pushed herself back out towards the ocean. Another night with an empty bag and no tales to fall asleep to. She was beginning to think she would have to move along the coast soon, closer to the palace. Surely the company of royals would provide excellent entertainment.
That's when she heard a voice call out in a song. Her head turned towards a rather large ship docked close by, a single candlelight illuminating in a lower window. It was a rather soft voice singing but her keen ears picked up on the beautiful melody. It did not belong to a siren of that she was certain but that did not make the tune any less hypnotic for her.
Carefully she swam closer to the source, curious by the sound. It was so pure, devoid of any manipulative intent. Granted she was among the few siren who did not derive pleasure in murder, Elaine knew she was far from a saint. Her motivations were selfish and she'd be a fool to deny it. Still, she was half-human. Even if it had been years since she'd stretched her legs among mankind, she was capable of emotion. There had been nights of guilt and regret for what she allowed herself to become.
She was now close enough to touch the wooden planks of the ship. She reached up with both hands, firmly grasping the sides of the open window and lifting herself up carefully so as not to make noise. She would surely be a sight to see, pale skin accented with equally light scales framing the edges of her face, long dark hair making her icy eyes illuminate in the darkness. Her top was a carefully picked collection of dark fabric and netting further decorated with pearls and shells. She even had a few gold pieces scattered throughout, all treasures from her little endeavors. Even her fingers were covered in rings, all souvenirs from men she still remembered to this day.
The cabin boy had his back turned, sweet music still filling the small yet handsome room. She found herself smiling softly as she listened, almost wishing she could join as well.
The cabin boy then seemed distracted by something on his desk, momentarily stopping his song. Elaine pouted a bit much like a small child. She waited patiently for a moment before becoming a bit irritated when he didn't finish.
"Do you always leave a girl to wonder how the song ends?" Elaine chuckled at his reaction as he finally noticed her presence. She held no concern for her safety, as this cabin boy didn't appear to be carrying any weapons in his room.
She rested her chin in her hand, gaze quite dreamy. She looked so innocent despite the rather unique reputations sirens carried. "You have a lovely voice." She stated honestly, hoping he might be flattered enough to continue singing.
