hello! my name is sloane and i'm new here to the inner sanctum, however i am not new to roleplaying! a bit about me: i'm twenty-two years old, currently interning as a graphic designer and i live in the IST time zone. i've been roleplaying for almost twelve years now, and i can confidently say that i've become a much better writer in the ten years that have passed. one of my many dreams is to publish a book (or a series of books. who among those with literary aspirations wouldn't want to be the next j. k. rowling or george r. r. martin or... the list is endless).

however, i have a tendency to get distracted easily, which is why, over the past ten years, i've ended up with 8 works in progress, none of which have more than ten chapters written. i know, it's a horrible habit, but i'm working on it! fortunately, it's a habit that has stuck to novel writing and daily mundane tasks, and nod roleplaying.

anyway, back to the topic at hand: me! i want to list out a few things about me as a writer, just so you know what you're heading into, and i'll also list out what i expect in a partner!

— in terms of post length, i average around 3 - 5 good sized paragraphs. i can definitely do more, but rarely do i write less. i'm also a strong believer in quality over quantity, and i expect the same from my partner.

— as far as characters go, i primarily play female mains in m/f pairings, however i am more than capable of playing any and all genders and sexualities. this usually shows in my variety of side characters, but i'm not opposed to taking on additional main characters as well, or doubling, as some people prefer to call it!

— when it comes to face claims i prefer using realistic ones, usually celebrities and/or models with several gif or picture resources available. i usually require that my partners do the same.

— i enjoy writing smut, but i don't want it to be the focus of any roleplay. i won't post my limits and kinks here so please brings yours up when you contact me and i'll do the same! i'm also fine with not including smut at all and simply 'fading to black'.

— i love plotting! i can get bored with a story if no plotting takes place and i can assure you that i will definitely contribute to it. i'm also a bit of a fangirl (understatement), so i expect partners who can contribute to our story just as much and throw ideas around.

— i love ooc chatting! i wouldn't say it's a requirement but you can expect me to pop in every now and then to simply say hello and ask how your day is going. i don't require my partners to be chatty since i know that's not for everyone, but i also know that having communication helps our story as well.

— my activity depends on my schedule. most days, i don't have much work since i'm just an intern, which means i spend my time in the office working on replies, or just trying to finish my several novels if i have nothing to catch up on. i can usually get out a reply once a day, but like i said, if something comes up, then there may be delays. if it's going to be more than a week though, i'll definitely let you know. i would love the same courtesy from my partners, and i can say with full confidence that i'm patient — i'll never bug you for a reply. i just ask that you let me know if you'll be gone for a while or are no longer interested, because if i haven't heard from you a while, i will naturally assume the worst.

— all my characters will be 18+. the age range for all my characters is usually between 18 and 26. i don't typically play characters that are older and i definitely don't play characters that are younger unless they are side characters. for fandoms, all characters will be aged up to 18 or older, and the settings changed to fit in accordance with the site rules.

now for some plots. i found most of these plots on tumblr & other rp forums so credit to the internet for helping me find them! i am not limited to these plots; if you have a plot or idea you think i might enjoy based on the themes i've expressed interest in so far, feel free to pitch it!

plot one: a royal night out

muse a is from a prestigious royal family and is a perfect gentleman in the eyes of the media but a total bad boy behind closed doors. muse b is a student from another country studying abroad and very into her studies and exploring her new temporary home. one night muse b is convinced to go out to a bar with her roommate and it just so happens that muse a is partying there with his friends. immediately muse a wants to get muse b's attention and is dead set on taking her home. muse b shoots him down and leaves with her friend because the bar scene isn't really her thing. muse a becomes obsessed with her and getting to know her to the point where he starts donating to her school and making appearances there just to find her and talk to her. eventually muse b gives him a chance and is thrown into the life of the royals and has to learn about a whole new way of life. she's often followed by cameras and nosy townsfolk and it all becomes too much and she doesn't know if she can do it anymore but muse a is so in love with her at that point and he begs her to stay with him and there are so many possibilities. (preferred role is muse b)​

plot two: bon appétit

muse a is in a committed relationship. muse a loves their significant other dearly, but in the last couple of months, their spark has definitely fizzled out. uncertain that they will find what they're looking for if they break things off with their partner, muse a tries their best to subtly improve the intimacy in their relationship; unfortunately, their partner sees nothing wrong with the conventional way they do things, so nothing changes. one night, muse a's significant other makes plans with an old friend from school–a double date for dinner. muse b knew muse a's lover in high school; they were close friends until one of them moved across the country for college. the couples meet at a fancy restaurant and the old friends catch up over drinks and appetizers. the whole while, muse a can't help but notice that their lover's old friend, muse b, is making eyes at them across the table. thrilled by the idea that another person finds them desirable, when their own partner hardly seems to anymore, muse a makes a bold move–sliding their foot against muse b's leg beneath the table. the seductive act is received by muse b with a subtle smirk and a light nod of approval. by the time entrees are served, muse a and muse b manage to slip out of the restaurant for a quick encounter. they make their way back to the table and act as normally as possible, adrenaline pumping through their veins over the bad thing they've done and can't wait to do again. plans are eagerly made for another dinner date while muse a and muse b are already thinking of how they can raise the stakes. (preferred role is muse a)

plot three: lurking in the shadows

muse a is a hunter who travels the country in order to extinguish supernatural threats. when muse a gets news of yet another small town being terrorized by a murderous creature, they pack up their things and make haste to the next destination. muse a settles into town quickly and gets to work investigating these mysterious, grisly deaths. despite muse a's best efforts, over the course of several weeks, they keep coming up short of catching the culprit, unaware that muse b is watching their every move. (optional twist: muse b is a supernatural creature, the same kind as the killer, but innocent. they approach muse a and offer to hunt down the killer together.) (no preference for roles)​

plot four: secret royalty

an irritable female knight (muse a) is charged with the burden of rescuing the king's brother after he's been taken prisoner and held for ransom; the royal caravan was waylaid by a band of hooded assailants led by muse b, a dastardly unknown marksman. muse a realises that her best chance of finding the king's brother is to be 'caught' by muse b too, so she orchestrates a clever plan to appear like a helpless damsel and soon enough she is successfully abducted by muse b. when the knight is left alone in a dank dungeon, she is able to go in search of the king's brother. suspicious of his latest capture, muse b stops muse a in her tracks and they engage in hand-to-hand combat. it isn't until muse b is momentarily overtaken by muse a that muse a notices the birthmark on muse b's neck, the very same mark that all of the males of the royal family possess. muse b is of royal blood and seems to have no idea. (preferred role is muse a)​

plot five: cruelty of fate

muse a has been groomed since birth to be a respectable noble-person, constantly reminded to practice the etiquette proper for their gender and expected to anticipate the day they will meet a well-bred suitor. muse b has never enjoyed the privileged life despite being within arm's reach of it; they've worked on the estate grounds for muse a's family since they were a mere child and have observed the high life of the aristocracy all the while with envious eyes. perhaps due to their contrary social standings, muse a has always been fascinated with muse b and vice versa. with muse a constantly under the watchful eye of their chaperone, muse a and muse b have resorted to leaving letters for one another in an old tree on the property; they've been planning for several days to meet one another in secret. (no preference for roles)​

plot six: if the shoe fits

muse a is told by their father, the king, that they must marry, and a ball is planned to find them a husband. angry and panicking, they flee to the edge of the kingdom where they finds muse b, living with two step-siblings and an abusive stepfather. these fast friends hatch a scheme: muse a will take one of muse b's shoes, claim it belongs to their one true love, and send their father on a fool's errand to find the 'princess' to which it belongs. in return muse a will help the muse b escape their family, if they wish, at least for one night — the ball. but when they dance together, more than friendship might form. (no preference for roles)​

plot seven: deadbeat blues

muse a is a rookie cop who's just looking to prove themselves in the department, especially considering the rumours swirling around that the only reason they managed to pass the exam was because their parent is the former chief of police. desperate to show their worth, muse a volunteers to take on the biggest case the city's seen in years, a drug ring that's going to lead to drug bust right within the city. surprising many people, muse a has a knack for finding out what's going on and begins to put together the pieces of the case - which doesn't bode well for the kingpin who wants to flood the city with their drugs. enter muse b, a wise and street saavy escort who begins to cross paths with muse a multiple times on their different assignments. muse a is taken by muse b's humour and intelligence and independence. muse a finds themselves taken with muse b, their energy starting to drift more on them than the case. unknown to them, muse b works for the very kingpin they're trying to take down. (preferred role is muse b)​

and finally, fandoms! i generally prefer canon x oc here, with myself portraying the oc, but i am always up for doubling and portraying a canon for you as well, in return. if you'd like to just portray my canon of choice, that's fine too! i'm also fine with oc x oc pairings.
