Greetings, fellow enthusiasts of the written word.
My name is Gypsy, or at least that'll do well enough to be getting on, and I've been writing cooperatively online for a couple of decades. I got my start writing short horror stories for every writing assignment given in school, but after assignments were done, the urge to write slowly gave way to other things until I found online roleplaying. The wheels of the wagon have kept turning since then, and I find myself on a path that blends the two -- cooperative writing online.
Having someone to write for, and a timeline to respond, has given me back that passion for writing. Though I have a familiar, much loved and comfortable site where I've been able to indulge my passion, it's always good to travel a bit and meet new faces, share new stories, and gain a fresh perspective on the world around me.
Genres that I enjoy both reading and writing in are fantasy, dark fantasy, contemporary action and/or romance, horror & the supernatural, historical periods with a focus on 'feel' rather than a ton of research, westerns, and pretty much anything other than superhero, hard sci-fi, or anything anime inspired.
I enjoy erotica in my fiction, and I enjoy plot in my erotica, so I tend to focus on finding a balance between the two in my online collaborative stories. I prefer to write in public forum threads rather than by any private message system. What I write are stories that I enjoy writing and reading as opposed to more personal fantasizing, and I like to keep that distinction in part by keeping my writing public, rather than hidden away.
I'm also happy to provide samples of what I've written should that be of interest.
Please pardon me while I poke about a bit, and pull a book or two from the shelves. I welcome questions and messages, and though I'm more an introvert by nature, I'm pretty friendly.
