It is said that when the Tethis Darkwolves hunt, the prey is dead long before it even realizes it. Native to the mountains around the Infinite City of Tethis, the Darkwolf is a massive canine, usually between six and eight feet in height. They are usually several hundred pounds in weight, and their razor sharp teeth have been known to pierce and rip apart light and medium armours. Heavy armours offer some defense, but to be unable to escape a pack of Darkwolves only means that the meal takes slightly longer to get to. Several myths exist regarding the Tethis Darkwolf—some paint them favourably, others negatively. Generally, unless hungry, the Tethis Darkwolf is not an overly aggressive animal. They have been known to kill other animals (and humanoids) that wander deep into their perceived territory, but for them most part, they will seek to avoid conflict where possible.
