I grew up in the Freljord region of Lokfar, where battle and death were every day and happened frequently.
I am a warrior and would often boast about the many battles I fought and won.
However, my demeanor and lack of hesitation to share my many stories would anger and annoy some in my tribe.
A Warrior's Death
After boasting one night about one of my many battles, I was confronted by an elder warrior who told me to prove my worth and see what my future held for me and how I would die, whether in battle or peacefully of old age.
I accepted and was angered when my fortune told of a long life and peaceful death.
Determined to achieve a warrior's death, I traveled to battle a revered frost serpent who had slain thousands. However, the war ended with the serpent killed and me alive.
I tried to find a warrior's death against many creatures, but when I became enraged, nothing could hurt or stop me, and I found that I could defeat every beast I challenged.
During my pursuits, I even tried to battle the ghost of a Krakenwyrm during a harrowing at Bilgewater.
However, this endeavor only ended with the Krekenwyrm slain and me alive.
Resolving that no mere beast could beat me, I decided to take on the winter's claw, the most fearsome tribe in the Freljord.
I battled and defeated their most fearsome warriors before battling the Chief herself.
Our battle shook glaciers with its intensity until we reached a deadlock.
The chief stared into my soul so intensely that her frenzy was quelled long enough for her to offer me a place in her tribe and the warrior's death I had always hoped for.
Look for me if you want a savage in your stories.
For now, I'm focussing on this one character, "Gunnar," to get into it.
So if you think Gunnar fits somewhere, don't hesitate.
