"Hey, honey, are you busy?"

Signaled the flower. It's vibrant and delicate petals expertly glows with ultaviolet light to attract the attention of the bee, it's expert pollinator. To the bee, the field of flowers was a night rave of beautiful lights and smells. This flower was one dancer among many wearing blacklight activated makeup that screams,

"Pollinate me!"

The bee lands on the flower's petals. The disturbance fills the flora with excitement. The fuzzy texture of the bee on it's figure maximized the surface area of the bee's body, and created a perfect host for pollen to stick to. This bee was already covered from head to toe in pollen from other flowers! So scandalous. The flower could not begin to imagine the genetic diversity that it would be rewarded with in this exchange.

"Come on, do it! Stick it inside me!"

Begs the flower, using the scent of it's nectar to attract the bee's attention to it's most intimate regions. The busy bee reciprocated immediately, not wasting any time to climb deep into the bosom of the flower where it's agile tongue could reach down into the flower. It laps feverishly at the nectar, hungrily claiming every drop for it's family. The bee buzzes rhytmically while it drinks the nectar, causing pollen to flake off of it's figure. When the pollen began to scatter over the flower, it cries out in ecstasy,

"Yes! Yes! Give it to me!"

Pollen decorates the flower, showering it in the past encounters of the bee. Sharing the diversity of all the other flowers that the bee had passed through before. Each flake of pollen was an opportunity for the flower to be successful. The flower delights in the shower of genetic material.

Then, just as quickly as their exchange had started, it was over. The bee had sucked up all of the nectar it could carry. The bee takes flight once again, leaving the flower wanting more.

"That's it?! You're just going to come and go?!"

The flower comes down from it's ecstasy feeling betrayed, wishing the pollinator could stay longer. The plant sits longingly as the bee flies away. That's okay. There will still plenty of hours left for the flower to find a new customer. The flower rests in the sunshine, advertising:

"Hey, Honey, are you busy?"
