The Land of Elinar is a peaceful land. The people have enjoyed the hard-fought victory over the ancient ones over a hundred years prior. Man has taken control of the world's magic and guard it with iron fists. Only those who are accepted into the Academy are allowed to wield magic. Rumors abound that the Fey are seeking to return...
The Classes:
Mages: Approved users of magic. They are held to strict rules of the Law and are bound to the King and Queen as protectors of the Bloodline.
Casts: Unapproved magic users. They are labeled as wanted and can be imprisoned and/or executed depending on the severity of the magic used. Age is taken into consideration as some natural magic users may not be aware. (these are taken immediately to the academy)
Hunters: These seek to hunt down magical creatures (dead or alive depending on the job, preference, etc) and Casts. They are specially chosen as they are resistant to magical effects.
Fey: Ancient creatures only now thought of as exotic, rare creatures. Once ruled the lands long ago, but were defeated and driven out. Hunters seek them out for Mages' usage and bounties.
Towns Person: A common villager that lives in the King's Town.

If anyone has suggestions to improve or add to the world, you can make them here. I purposefully left it a bit vague because I want to have input by those that join on the course of the story and plot.
