Politeia standing for "citizenship, administration, civil polity". This is the building and the branch that investigates crime and enforces the rules and laws of Hades. Run by three Astynomia, a plethora of Legislators, and enforced by slave labor Rod-Bearers.

Rod-Bearers: publicly owned slaves were used by magistrates as a police force. A group of 300 Scythian slaves (the so called "rod-bearers") was used to guard public meetings to keep order and control the crowds, and also assisted in dealing with criminals, handling prisoners, and making arrests. Other duties associated with modern policing, such as investigating crimes, were left to the citizens themselves. They wear copper armor and deep blue cloaks are the symbol of their status, along with their custom Rods.

Legislator: The lower ranking law workers in the hall of justice, the Politeia.

Astynomia: The leaders of the Politeia, the hall of justice. There are three, the primaris, secondus, and tertius. A compound noun consisting of asty (the officialese word for city) and nomos (law).

Pioran: Astynomia Secondus in the Politeia, the hall of justice.

Magos: spellcasters, singular Magus. Viewed with suspicion by the common folk and soldiers despite their great usefulness in battle and traversing the realms.

Strategios Rodelian: general of the Ninth Legion. Known for his fierceness and cunning as well as his firm but generous leadership.

Cassia :Handmaiden of Hades chosen to be his bride after having lived in the mortal realm all her life.

The Ninth Legion: The newest legion, and once thought of as the worst and most expendable. During Rodelians rise and then leadership the Ninth Legion has claimed many glories and now holds the eye of Hades as his most honed and loyal army.

The Encampment and the Infringment: Any Legions not in field were split between these two camps. Traditionally they occupied the same space in the same camp 1st through 5th armies in the Encampment and 6th - 9th legions in the Infringement. About 20 years ago Rodelian changed that by demanding to replace 1st legion who had failed with is 9th legion in their traditional spot.

Banfa: Soldier under Strategios Rodelian, a personal aid. A bit of a coward, but crafty and well versed in underhanded things, skulking and information gathering.

Sessitrix: Magus of the underworld, closely tied to Hades.

Nekromanteion, temple to hades in the mortal realm. Known as the "Door to Hades" and staffed by clergy that devote themselves to Hades and communication with departed souls.
