Hi all!

I'm craving something a bit darker and more sinister than my usual schtick. I'm thinking something a bit more horror themed in nature, with little to no romance involved. I am, of course, looking to involve my catboy/kemonomimi/neko character Basil. The fact that he is non human will likely play no actual part in this (except, perhaps, some flair of bigotry or desire towards him by the antagonist?).

Your character doesn't actually matter much to me, in terms of either gender, species, etc.. Though I suppose I should specify more on what kind of horror I'm after. Or, rather, what I'm not interested in. I'm not a huge fan of paranormal or demonic horror, admittedly. I'd much rather see some sort of grounded monster; a serial killer type, ideally. Maybe a more traditional slasher type, or a more grounded, drawn out killer.

Plot can also be discussed, as well as the level of violence. It could be something more long term such as a game of "cat and mouse" in some sort of sprawling hotel, mansion, asylum, etc., or a more close knit house or home invasion or kidnapping plot. I'm open to including as much, or as little, violence and blood as you are.

Dice rolls could also be included! Used to evaluate stealth moves or attack/evasion success. I suppose a more drawn out play would imply more of a DM role on your part, which would be welcome, but we could discuss alternative ways around this? Perhaps Basil runs into a few other people he is tasked with saving, ala a series like Saw, which admittedly, I wouldn't mind going in this sort of direction with things. He is a rather selfish, vain, and impulsive person so it could be interesting to challenge his humanity vs his nature.

If you're after something a bit more traditional, I do have a separate thread with more traditional ideas, so feel free to check those out :)
