"This is Sunhaven, nothing and everything happens here..."
INTRO:
Hi hi! My name is Luv, and I am on the search for a new writing partner, hopefully partners. I had taken a step back from writing for a while due to personal life stuff, but now I'm ready to get back into the swing of things. I've always enjoyed writing, and roleplaying with friends over time has helped me improve on my writing skills, though I admit I do need to practice more. But that is why I am here now! In the past I've mostly written within fandom spaces with a few originals here and there. I'm usually good when it comes to OOC chat and updating my partner on when I will be able to get a reply up. I like to post multiple times a day, but sometimes I get busy with work, friends, or family, so there will be days when I'll reply only once or twice.
PREMISE:
So for the past week I have been hit with wave after wave of nostalgia about shows I obsessed over in middle and high school. The shows about small towns and the everyday life of the supernatural that live in them, ie TVD, Teen Wolf, etc. It's got to the point where I want to roleplay, but I haven't watched these shows in years! So, I thought why not come up with an original rp, heavily inspired by my once favored shows. I'm talking vampires, werewolves, witches, things that go bump in the night, and humans who are none the wiser about these things going down in their quiet little town. To make it better, instead of these events revolving around teens, these characters will be adults (20+). Romance will of course play a part in it, but I also want there to be stakes, risks, and perhaps a bit of horror surrounding these characters. I absolutely love it when people get creative with character creation, so don't be afraid to suggest something that's whacky and out there! I know for a fact we can make it work within the story. Among other things, I would also like to discuss what kind of lore we would like to pursue with each supernatural creature, or we could do a mash of things. I am all ears! As long as we talk things out and plan, I am all in for it. I will leave it here, as I prefer to discuss things with my partner in detail, but the one thing I do have is the town's name: Sunhaven.
PREFERENCES:
- I prefer for both my RP partners and characters to be at least twenty years old.
- I write in third person past tense, and would like it if my partner did too.
- I'm the most comfortable writing in doubles, meaning I write both my character and my partner's love interest, and they'd do the same. However, I am willing to do ocxoc if you'd really prefer it.
- My comfort minimum is 500 words, and I can go up to 1k+ for each character and love interest (multiple paragraphs), though I tend not to have a maximum wanting everyone to write to their heart's content, as long as there is quality to it.
- I usually let my partner decide on what kind of face claims we use, but I would like to go with realistic fcs for this specific RP. (My character's face claim is Ashley Moore, with her love interest undecided at the moment)
- I have not decided what kind of pairing I want to write. I tend to go with either wlw and mlw for my side specifically, but I am cool with any pairing you would like for your side.
- I am a big fan of world building and plotting, and tend to talk a lot OOC about the roleplay in general. I would like a partner who could keep up with that, and be just as enthusiastic as me about the story we are writing. I'm talking about town layout/map, residents, events, even its history (I'm cooking up on how and why the town got its name, but it's subject to change depending on what kind of supernatural lore we go with). I even like coming up with relationships between side characters. Do they hate each other? Like each other? Have a complicated history? I love it all, and would love a partner who would enjoy doing this kind of stuff, instead of leaving it all to me.
- I am fine with gore and violence considering the nature of this RP, but don't want it to be excessive.
- I would love to write sexual content, but just like gore and violence, not in an excessive amount. I want it where it makes sense and where it best fits within the story. I would be more than happy to discuss kinks, limits, yes and nos with my partner once we get to talking.
