Rosey was a perfectly good trader, oftentimes predicting what customers would want. This time, it was a vial of luck. Ah, such a simple request for a simple shop keep as her. Rosey ran a little potion shop in her little realm of Astria. Astria was a calm realm of magic, water, and fields of cozy woods. The woods stretched deep into the recesses of the mountains, oftentimes stumping travelers who decided to forgo getting a map. The decision to get a map was a life saving one in her land. Rosey was no stranger for people to ask about luck potions, they all somehow thought that luck would save them from their foolish attempts at avoiding buying a map

The map was kind of a big deal, especially since the fae liked to trick the mortals who entered the woods at night. It was common to see travellers one day, and then gone the next. Astria was a neat little kingdom tucked away in the expanse of a continent that was beloved for its vast nature. Rosey often wore protective amulets to avoid such a terrible fate as one with a overpowered member of the fae. they can be quite persuasive if you hear them enough. for that matter alone, she offered protective amulets if people had actual sense. In these days, forget it!

Rosey came back into awareness after her mental hiatus, blinking and recalling what the customer was awaiting an answer for. Ah yes, luck potion. Rosey smiles and nods, grabbing the potion off the back shelf with a hum. The customer smiled, nervously scratching his head and looking around. He was anxious to go out on the road, so it seemed. A man of his proportions was certainly too anxious to be effective, she figured.

He was 6`1 and tan, indicating this was not his first adventure on the road. His name was Julius, a rugged featured man of a barbarian. He was strong but his mind lacked the initiative. He had many a scars from past escapades into the dark woods of other kingdoms. The kind where the wolves were the ruling mammal for a reason. Not many step foot where he did. Julius tapped his foot, his leather boots worn and almost feeling the floor. At least he had shoes! He was dressed in a simple tunic covered in worn leather armor that had been used for at least 5 years. The outfit was worn but at least it had some protective quality to it.

A man of his kind was a common look where he was born in Straya, the capital nearby Astria. Julius often didn`t carry anything more than a long sword with a lovingly made sheathe from his father. His father had made him a sword, plus the sheathe. Julius spoke up to Rosey with sudden thought Actually, how much is that protective amulet? pointing to one with a red stone. Rosey nodded The amulet is 2 gold since you got a luck potion . She completed the transaction with Julius, him leaving feeling sated. He would need all the luck and protection for his forage into the wild woods of Astria. He fiddled with the amulet before placing it around his neck. A warm aura of light quiletly laced itself around him, a protective amulet indeed.

Julius took a step into the woods, his coin purse feeling emptier as it lightly rattled. He hated to spend that much on a luck potion but here goes! He took the luck potion into hand and drank the entire bottle in one gulp. Something Rosey had advised him not to, indicating a certain level of urgency in her warning. Of course he had ignored it. Julius didn`t feel any different, his mind focused on his newfound luck. He had no map of course, catching sight of a fork in the road. A woman stood in the road, his whole mind suddenly latching onto the mental image of a happy family. Julius felt a wave of passion for this woman come over him, the potion having been mislabelled as luck potion. It was actually a love potion.

Julius walked up, his eyes searing every detail of her voluptuous hips and sleek form. She was a wild shift who happened to be lost, his hands reaching out to grab her for a hug. Something was wrong, she went on alert as she analyzed him. She was Evra, a woman who had strayed from her group. Evra was blessed with gentle hips that went into beautifully shaped sleek legs that hid muscle. Her face was a gentle oval with bright blue eyes and semi tan skin. Her hair was a long brown mess tied into a hair tie. Evra could not help but be disgusted by this giant man who suddenly had caught eyes for her.

She tried to wrestle out of his grip but he held on tight. `Let go of me! I demand it!`she yelled to him indignantly. Julius let go, his heart and mind overwhelmed by the love potion that he had gulped down haphazardly. Evra backed away, his eyes too...too loving. She left without a word, his eyes watering quietly. Julius quietly sank to his knees, his lover having rejected him. He was too heart broken to leave the spot, even the fae having left him alone. That amulet did in fact protect him but nothing could protect his heart from the over flowing sense of heartbreak and agony.
