A police show with a twist

A while back I was discussing with a GM about an X-Men rp, were talking about fictional shows that might exist in that universe. I suggested the name of a show might be Law & Order: MVU. The premise was cops that focus solely on crimes committed by mutants.

I didn't get beyond that because in the timeline of the show mutants hadn't be publically known for that long.

If this were to happen it doesn't have to be set in the Marvel universe. It could be DC with the M being metahumans. Doesn't have to be MVU it could be something similar. Also doesn't have to Law & Order based either.

The necro brought this to my attention. There's an excellent tabletop RPG called Mutant City Blues. It uses the Gumshoe system, so is designed from the ground up for investigative roleplay. You're police in a world that's had a superpower event, but all powers stem from that one event and follow specific rules. There's a big chart that shows how the powers are related, and knowledge of how powers work is forensically known. So your superpowered police can investigate superhuman crime and infer facts from the evidence.

If you have a crime scene where there is evidence of quills stuck in the wall and fire blasts, you know you're dealing with at least two superhumans, because those two powers will never manifest in the same super.
