Hey everyone! I'm selkie :) I'm currently a marine bio student in the UK, 21 years old. I'm a certified seal superfan, but also a kickboxer, SCUBA diver, qualified marine mammal medic, artist & cosplayer. I love DnD as well as text roleplay and I tend to enjoy cosplaying my own characters instead of existing ones, so you may see photos of me as a few of my DnD characters at times.

I've been roleplaying since 2015, making it a pretty consistent passion of mine! I love fantasy genres with all my heart, both historical/medieval fantasy and modern. I'm a big fan of platonic relationships not just romance, and I tend to place less emphasis on romance, though do like it from time to time. I really enjoy tropes like emotional powers, found family, fantasy vs non-fantasy people, etc. and also like to implement things like Celtic myth, folklore or culture and witchy/spiritual stuff into certain things too.

Second! I bet you're wondering how to start Role Playing and where to go! I think it's pretty fun to explore the forums, and I highly recommend doing so! Most thread homes, if not all, have a pinned post at the top of them to tell you what goes there! However, the Request Threads are pretty self explanatory; Here's a Link! There's plenty to look through, but you could also build your very own! Tell people what you're all about and get those writing partners! Take your time though; there's never any pressure!
