"Sand, sand as far as the eye can see. The hot wind shifted the dunes slowly almost unperceivable, except for the occasional cloud of dust, marring the still quiet of the desert. Horemakhet inhaled, paused and exhaled. His mother had told him to do so when his anxiety began to well up inside. He knew how deeply he was gonna miss her.

Horemakhet entered the temple at the very edge of what was to be considered the kingdom of Kemet, the Black Land, the land cradled by life-giving Iteru. His thoughts drifted to his family and home. The smell of freshly brewed beer and the laughter of his father. If he could only...No. He shook his head. He had said goodbye and there was no reason for regret. Imhotep, vizir of King Djoser, had called him to duty. Horemakhet would enter the service of the gods, to protect the way of his people. The revered Imhotep had unearthed the knowledge once wielded by the nameless sorcerer priests that worked their will before the rule of blessed Narmer. A rite would soon be performed, the Rite of Return.

Horemakhet entered the chamber alongside a few others, men, women and others. All those called to serve the gods in a special way. All of them destined to uphold Ma'at past the rule of King Djoser. He laid down on the cold sandstone slab as the mortuary priests readied their tools nearby. He was given his last rites, for soon he would serve the gods in a way more personal than even the king. He thought one last time of his family home, that cozy hut on the sun-lit shores of Iteru. If only he could be there one more time. That is when the knife fell and Horemakhet's soul entered Duat.

He walked forward, exhaustion tearing at his limbs. The trials have been greater than any obstacle he had faced in life but he cleared them all and stood before the Hall of Ma'at, Osiris judgement loomed. But he had shed his fear, he was full of purpose now. He would make his decree before the Judges and serve the gods in eternity.

He opened his eyes, his body numb except for the tiniest shred of cold. How land had he rested? How land had he slumbered? Did the gods call him to service? He felt linen wrap around his dry and embalmed body. He heard strange words outside his sarcophagus? One word he inflected on his slowly regrowing tongue: London."

Hey there,
My name is Snek King, i have been roleplaying for about five to six years both on forums and chats as well as a DM and DnD player. I have always been fascinated and enthralled by Ancient Egypt and its mythology. I am also a history student fascinated with all things historical. I really love occult and supernatural themes set in our world. This particular idea is inspired by Mummy: The Curse and Mummy: The Resurrection by White Wolf and Onyx Path.

The premise is that Horemakhet, or any other individual that underwent the Rite of Return depending on what kind of pairing would be ideal, would be an Arisen or in plain terms, a mummy. The Rite of Return is an ancient ritual practiced by mysterious sorcerers in Pre-Dynastic Egypt which has been modified by the famous architect and royal vizir Imhotep to create a new generation of immortal defenders of Ma'at, ready to rise from their tombs to serve the ancient gods of Egypt. The particular hook would be one of these Arisen being the victim of a Victorian mummy unwrapping, an actual thing people in Victorian England did during the times of Egyptomania. What happens from then on would be what we would explore in the RP.

I have no preferred pairing for this plot and all i would aim for is that i play the Arisen while your character is either a human living7currently staying in Victorian England or maybe some other supernatural being being involved in whatever has drawn one of Egypt's undying guardians back to the realm of the living. I have my own little setting in our world, developed through several DnD campaigns and stories but no one has to listen to the mad ramblings of a snek and can make whatever character they desire.

DISCLAIMER: English is not my first language so please keep that in mind. I ask for a little patience and maybe point out any mistakes that are to jarring or break the immersion. Thanks in advance.

I usually should be able to reply once a week but its always on the table that i have some more time for a reply a day to maybe even several replies a day. I usually write responses from 100-500 words but those can be longer given i am focused enough or in a good mood for writing.

This doesn't have to be the kinkiest thing and i am pretty vanilla about most things. If you have any particular tastes or requests just let me know.

I hope i haven't scared anyone off and i if you have read this far just open your response with "Mummies, am i right?" or just make it fun in another way.

Alright, that is all for now, Snek is out. Have a great day and may Ra and Khonsu illuminate your path, also no step on snek.
