Hi there, I'm varrok! I'm seeking roleplay partners for cyberpunk/sci-fi.fantasy settings, with a preference for slice-of-life/adventure/romance, and I typically write female characters. I've got plenty more detail below, so if this seems like something you'd be interested in, please read on!
Post Length & Style
I want to make it clear up front that at the time of writing this, I am still somewhat out-of-practice with forum RP! However, I have ten years of roleplaying experience in MMOs and Discord. I can offer 2-3 paragraph replies without much issue, longer when the situation calls for it, and I will do my best to match a prospective partner's energy.
I try to post every 1-2 days! Daily posts are my ideal (and occasionally multiple posts in a day, inspiration and time permitting!) but sometimes things can get busy. If I expect a reply to take any longer than usual, I'll communicate as much! And if a slower pace is preferred, I'm happy to match it.
I do always strive to write with proper grammar, spelling, diction, and the like. I generally expect the same of my partner, though I do of course understand if English isn't your first language, or if other circumstances make this difficult! A reasonable amount of effort is all I ask.
Preferred Themes
I enjoy all of the following:
Story vs. Smut
I greatly enjoy both! I do accept one-off/short-term smut scenes, but for longer-term RP, I tend to prefer a 60-40 or 70-30 mix between story and smut, respectively.
Preferred Settings
I am primarily looking for RP in a science-fiction or cyberpunk setting, whether that be an existing fandom (Cyberpunk, Shadowrun, Mass Effect, Star Wars, etc.) or a setting that we build collaboratively. I am always open to suggestions, of course!
Though it's not my primary focus at the moment, I do also enjoy writing in fantasy settings! I'm always open to typical D&D-style fantasy, but I love historical fantasy (ie. fantasy in a setting inspired by antiquity/time periods other than medieval!) I don't have any particular ideas for this at the moment, but I'm more than happy to discuss.
If we write in an existing setting, I heavily prefer to write OCs rather than canon characters!

- (Sci-fi) Pioneering scientists explore and catalogue an alien planet, surviving hostile flora, fauna, and even rival researchers in the process.
- (Cyberpunk) A dynamic mercenary duo takes jobs against megacorps to get rich and famous, or die trying.
- (Cyberpunk) The scion of a high-level corp family falls for a streetwise punk, exposing them to the outside world.
- (Any) Two members of rival noble/corporate families develop feelings for each other, trying to navigate the inevitable scandals.
