Where do I even begin...?
Let's start simple. Hi! Name's Ju (well... not really... but let's just go with that).
I love to roleplay. I feel like it is a great way to free the imagination and break away from reality for at least a few moments. I'm sure that it's been said many times before, but that's just what it is. I have many ideas sitting there in my head, and I feel like here is a great way to express them.
I have been roleplaying for around six years, both switching on and off. For the majority of that time I have mainly done informal roleplays. I do have experience with formal roleplayin, but there's always room for more. I am still developing my writing skills and learning from others. I wouldn't consider myself an amazing writer, and perhaps I will never be one. But I still feel determined to improve.
I enjoy reading... Throne Of Glass fans anyone? Any Sapkowski readers? How about Six Of Crows? Well anyway, if you know what I'm talking about, you've probably been able to catch that I enjoy a good bit of fantasy... so... the fictional stuff. I'm alright with sci-fi too, but I prefer fantasy over sci-fi in a nutshell. I also enjoy historically based themes, since... well... history happens to be one of my favourite subjects to study. One of my favourites. I enjoy art and English too. The creative writing side of English in the majority.
I also enjoy gaming. Specifically I love games that have a story to get yourself invested in. Skyrim, The Witcher, Red Dead Redemption, Bloodborne... that sort of thing.
As much as I like to read and play games about these themes, I also enjoy to write about them.
However, I do prefer to roleplay as my own characters instead of taking on the roles of already existing canon characters. So as much as I love The Witcher... I wouldn't really like to roleplay as Geralt for example. Or follow an already existing story. I like original ideas. If you catch my drift, if you don't.. I'm sorry. I've never been good at explaining things!
I have been recently spending a bit of time volunteering to help in animal shelters. Been quite the experience - which has been exciting, nerve-racking and sometimes even sad. I always feel the need to tell my own dog that he's spoiled whenever I return home. He's a Golden Cocker Spaniel - definitely can apply into the category of the more moody doggos.
Anyway, that feels like... about it. This introduction has been long enough anyway. Looking forward to being a part of the community!
I am open for ideas, so if anyone is interested to roleplay, my inbox is always open. So feel free!
Bye!
