hello loves! welcome to my request thread. my name is zafira, but feel free to call me zaf. while I am new to the site, i am definitely not new to roleplaying. i am a student in her 20's who is looking to write gritty, detailed, pretty-prose stories. genres I love writing are slice of life, crime, low fantasy, all with the underlying theme of romance.
Expectations
✧ Mid to Advanced Literate Partner. i like prose and long-lengthed posts. third-person perspective is my go-to and you can expect my posts to average anywhere between 500-1,000 words. as always, quality over quantity. as long as i have something to work with, we're in perfect territory, baby.
✧Ghosting. it's part of the whole roleplaying hobby, but I attempt not to do it. if i am not feeling the story, i will let you know because i know that as a writer, a lot of energy, mind power, and time are poured into each post. As i would not ghost anyone, i would sincerely appreciate the same courtesy back.
✧Replies. i reply at least on a weekly basis, but more times than not, two to three times a week. OOC is also very much welcome. obessing over our characters? pinterest boards? music? random rants? yes please.
✧A storyline. to be frank, I love writing a good steamy scene. what i love more paired with that steamy scene? tension, build-up, fleshing out characters, and naturally getting them to that needy, absolutely-have-to-jump-you-or-I'll-combust point. i love writing dirty, delicious smut as much as the next writer, but i feel that it has to go in hand with the story. i like my roleplays plot-driven with smut acting like all the wonderful spices on a meal. overly spicing food makes it inedible, so with that logic, too much smut has my interest dwindling from a roleplay.
✧Characters I Play and Like. i can play a number of characters. some of my characters are cruel, rattled by jealousy, and vindictive. others are sweet, innocent, and playful. others are absolute flirts, unabashed in their sexuality and wielding it like a weapon. characters I do not enjoy playing are ones that are fully submissive and meek. it's just not my cup of tea. there are plenty of characters i love pairing up with, and in that regard, I am not picky at all. you want to play as the charming playboy? be my guest. sinister and cruel? stoic and grumpy? witty and sly? tortured and artist? funny and nerdy? I love it all. physical characteristic-wise, men with stubble and dark hair have my heart. It's not a must by any means, but it is what I like.
Let's Talk Kinks.
there are very few things that I do not like. with the intentions of being straightforward though, the stuff that I do enjoy include: dirty talk, hair pulling, degradation, praise, risky sex, loving sex, rough sex, spanking, choking, clothed sex, daddy kink, age gaps, spitting, slapping, BDSM, dub-con, noncon, etc.
What I do mind is bimbofication, ageplay vore, foot play, incest (of any kind), and bathroom play.
Plots
while all of these are just ideas i would love to explore at some point in time, i love brainstorming and bouncing off of different ideas. if none of these tickle your fancy, no worries! let's come up with something new together.

Of Parts and Pieces
MC and her husband have been having issues for the past year and a half now. After suffering from a miscarriage that tore the pair apart in different ways, they haven't been the same - coasting through the motions, living together but not living together. MC is a bestselling author who hasn't published a book since the accident, muse permanently burned out, mind plagued by misery. All that changes when she chances a look at an art gallery and finds herself fixated by the artist's (YC's) designs.
possible themes: dark, angst, adultery, romance, writer x artist
note: this can possibly go in the direction of horror/thriller but would definitely need some planning. could also be where MC and YC know each other, but don't remember. Maybe she modeled for one of YC's art classes, maybe they had a small, lovely chat at a coffee shop. this could also be one of the rare times a happy ending is not in order.
Like You Were Dreaming
MC has just graduated college and has one summer to spend as she pleases. Enlivened by the prospect of all things foreign and new, she's determined to martyr her wistfulness for concrete fun - drinking, dancing, spending her days at the beach, maneuvering her nights on the cobblestones of beautiful France (open to change the country). The last thing she's looking for is a romance, but things take a wistful turn at a chance encounter with YC, a resident to the country she'd been dreaming about traveling to since she was a kid.
possible themes: foreign romance, light, fluff, smutty, romantic-comedy, short term. HIGH craving - perfect for the summer time. heavily based on this song: champagne & sunshine (except not in LA)

My Favorite Enemy
MC and YC are gang rivals. YC is the leader of one of the largest drug cartels. MC's father is notorious for being heartless and cruel while MC's reputation is spotless - the soft, delicate daughter who just so happens to have been trained to be a swift killer for her father in secrecy.
possible themes: hate-to-love, kidnapping, toxicity, substance abuse, etc.
There are No Sinners
MC steals identities for a living - particularly men in the corporate world. CEOs, executives, producers, surgeons. You name it, and MC has probably knicked their persona and traveled halfway across the world with it, relishing in her clever nitpicking in a luxurious suite under her victim's name. It helps that said men make it easy to borrow from. MC revels in her beauty and uses her charm to disarm her lucky picks, but things go awry when YC ends up becoming one of the chosen ones. YC is a CEO of a large tech company. YC ends up at a posh, high-class bar and it's lust at first sight for the two. Sparks fly and the pair end up in a hotel room together. Come the morning after and MC is gone, off to travel across the country, YC's information staunchly in hand. What happens when YC discovers what MC has done, unearths her identity, and plans to pursue his own bit of revenge?
possible themes: a marriage of convenience (I'm imagining a deal struck between the two. maybe YC has overbearing parents that keep setting him up on dates and he wants them off his back.), enemies to lovers, mafia (maybe? mafia plotlines are always fun), foreign romance, blackmail. this plot could be dark and gritty or light and fun. would have to plan this one out more with a partner, but it is a super HIGH craving.
Bound by Duty
MC and YC's family are notorious crime/business tycoons that loathe one another, but unfortunately need one another. They hide behind sharp smiles, honeyed words, and sweet promises, all while fastening guns and knives in the fabric of their clothing. They disagree on everything - some for the sake of disagreeing, most because it 'isn't the way.' The two families can unite in one thing only and that is the arranged marriage of MC and YC when they are of age - a sure way to unite the empires and stop the fighting between the families. Insert our characters who are more than displeased by the match.
possible themes: enemies to lovers, romance, drama, angst, jealousy, arranged marriage.
note: a very HIGH craving.
Go Astray with Me
MC's been on the run for a year now. Her ex, a charming sociopath who is trying for mayor, will do anything to tie up any loose ends with MC, including silencing her in the most permanent manner possible. No one believes her when she shows the bruises, scars, and cuts he had left her on except for YC, a rugged cop who had been discharged because of a bad accident. (very loose idea, but would love to delve into it with someone)
possible themes: cop, angst, violence, murder, romance

His Commandment
YC was the Vampire King whose intentions had been to kill all humans or turn them into slaves. MC had been YC's General and lover, but a century ago, MC had teamed up with the witches to set a curse on YC. The curse was that YC would remain in a coma state for a long period of time. The rest of the kingdom does not know the real cause of the King's sudden fall, and MC ruled afterward, aware of her betrayal to her King and lover, but also dubbing it as a necessary evil. Everything is all fine and dandy until one day the curse reverses, and YC is back.
possible themes: vampires, kingdom, medieval, violence, pining, revenge, betrayal

Far From Good Graces
MC's family is on the brink of ruin. Her father has a horrid gambling addiction that is constantly being swept under the rug and she has three younger sisters who have to be provided for. Desperate, MC seeks to be the most sought-out lady of the ton, an elite class in the social hierarchy. She cares not for love, not for passion, but for security - specifically, security ensured for her family. This, evidently, is no easy feat. After all, her brother, formerly engaged to YC's sister, proves to be a no-good cheat when he is found fraternizing with a maid, producing a scandal that is talked about by all. Livid, YC, a duke, sets out to collect his revenge on MC's brother for hurting his sister so gravely. Insert MC who just so happens to be looking for a wealthy husband and who YC does everything he can to ruin.
note: I imagine this taking place in the regency era. With that said, I do not see it as being historically accurate. Think Bridgerton. Yes, I definitely want to live my Kate and Anthony fantasy very much but you do not have to have watched the show to write this story. This can go in many different directions. YC could sabotage possible relationships, attempt to trick her into falling in love with him, set a compromising situation so they have to get married, etc. Possibilities are endless.
