Some introductions are to be in order, I presume?
The name is Maxwell, friends call me Max. Admittedly, I have been out of the game for a minute, but have missed it dearly. My writing is always at its strongest when I have the dedicated practice, but I lack the personal motivation to work at any pace other than sporadic. Which is truly tragic as writing and literature have always been large sources of solace for me. Currently, I feel that everything I do manage to produce has become stagnant in style and taste. I can't stand it, I need a platform that excites me to put the work in. The only time I have ever felt that is when I am roleplaying and I am looking forward to that feeling again.
Some basics to introduce myself, I have a bachelor's degree in Art History and a keen interest in Literature. I live in Texas (yehaw) with my cat, my significant other, and his dog. My biggest hobbies include video games, where I mostly stick to rpg, fps, and fantasy games. I'll slam on some Borderlands. Any of 'em. The last book I read was The Road by Cormac McCarthy, before that was Camus' The Plague. I read my first Steinbeck in 4th grade, like a pretentious, precious loser. Other than that, you'll find me watching anime or animation, much to my family's chagrin. Movies make me fall asleep and cop shows are a must not. They're just so,,, dusty.
For the writing preferences, I enjoy all branches of fantasy settings especially. I will rarely participate in fandom, dependant on my personal knowledge or interest in the subject. Sci-fi makes me feel slightly out of depth, but I am always excited to try new things. I like stories that are hard-hitting and plot-driven, rather than filler or romantic side plots. I don't care if your grammar isn't perfectly polished, I am simply interested in a partner who is as interested in growth as I am. Purposefully artistic syntaxes are welcome as well.
I think that about covers it? BIPOC, LGBTQ+ respected and acknowledged.
