Hello all, and welcome to my humble request thread. My name is Amarnith, but you are welcome to call me Ama for short. Since I gather exact age matters to some of you online here, I'll go ahead and tell you that I'm currently 27 years old. As for writing experience, my first foray into forum roleplaying was well over a decade ago, and it was something I participated in for quite a long time. However, for the past several years I turned my attention more toward tabletop roleplaying, primarily as a Dungeon Mistress. Now that my schedule doesn't work very well for long, consistent game sessions, though, I'm looking to get back into writing!

So, with that introduction out of the way, a bit more about me as a writer. In case my name and the Tolkien quote in my signature haven't already given it away, I've always been a huge fantasy fan, and that is the primary genre I write in, although I have occasionally been known to step outside my comfort zone. I do also occasionally write fandom stories, and I highly recommend checking out that list later in my post, because even if you aren't interested in writing in one of those worlds, I do often draw inspiration from them in my own world building, so it will give you an idea of the themes and general feel of many of the stories I write. As far as length of writing, I shall have to guess based on my previous writing experience years ago, at which time the minimum for my replies was about three paragraphs. I can't imagine I've lost so much of my writing ability that I won't be able to maintain that, and I was certainly able to write much longer posts when I was feeling particularly inspired by a story, so rest assured that I will be able to provide my partners with plenty of content!

As I mentioned earlier, my schedule is a bit up in the air right now. I recently started a new job with very unpredictable hours and shifts, so I dare not make any commitments as to how frequently I'll be able to post or what days I will be online. The best I can say that I will try to get at least one post up a week (and certainly more than that if I can manage it) and will try and let you know if it'll be longer than that.

As far as mature content, including both violence/gore and sexual content, I am open to including it in stories. However, I don't like for it to be the main point of the story, nor do I like when it takes away from the main plot. To that end, I don't have a list of kinks I insert into stories, simply because that isn't the reason I write. However, I'm often open to accommodating my partners preferences, as long as it seems to make sense with the characters/plot. The exceptions to that are: anything that goes against site rules (naturally), any bodily functions that would belong in a toilet, and excessive blood/gore/sexual torture. I am also not at all okay with fetishizing/romanticizing any kind of non-con/dub-con, although I am not against it being included in the story or character backstory for plot or character development reasons (I would generally prefer not to write this out in any sort of detail, though.) In terms of writing out sexual content, I will only do so for mxf pairings, although I'm open to other pairings as well, I just don't feel comfortable writing out detailed sexual scenes of them. I also have a strong preference for being the female in the pairings, although I'ma definitely open to doubling as well, either so we each get our preferred gender in a pairings, or simply because we each have a different character/set of characters we'd like to focus on.

Now, as promised earlier, here's a list of all of my fandoms that I write in or tend to be inspired by. Any relevant notes are included there, but any concrete plot ideas (fandom or otherwise) will be in a separate section after this list.
  • Tolkein (and Tolkein-based) Works: The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings, Rings of Power, etc. Admittedly, it's been a while since I've had the time/energy to sit down and read all of his books, so my memory of some of those details is a bit fuzzy. But I have much more recently watched all six Peter Jackson adaptations, as well as the Rings of Power series, and am almost always open to writing something set in or inspired by Tolkein's world.
  • Dungeons and Dragons: This also includes the D&D movie, Honor Among Thieves! Don't get me wrong- I'm not looking to write something that includes game mechanics. But I do like the classic adventure set-up, characters inspired by the classes and races from the game, etc. (Disclaimer: my knowledge is almost strictly from 5th edition here.) I'm also interested in/inspired by the Dragonlance setting. I don't do much in any of the other settings, so don't expect much canon lore about those from me.
  • Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire: Yes, this also includes the new House of the Dragon series. I've seen all of the show and read all of the released books, and find the mix of fantasy and heavy political drama to be interesting. I WILL NOT write as canon characters here, but am open to stories inspired by it, or in the setting but using our own characters. Much of my inspiration for darker/grittier fantasy stories come from here.
  • The Empyrean Series: A recent find for me, but who doesn't love books about secret plots, political drama, and most importantly, dragon riders! It's not a fandom I often find people wanting to write in, but it is one that's fun to draw inspiration from.
  • Supernatural: Yes, it's about the only fandom I have in a modern setting, and a bit of a guilty pleasure show. I'm not interested in writing anything canon here, but similar stories and those that draw some inspiration from the show can be fun from time to time, although it's far from my favorite or most common inspiration.

As promised- I have plots! I will include all general/entirely original plots first. Any fandom or very heavily fandom inspired plots will be at the end and appropriately labelled. So, feel free to take a gander and see if anything piques your interest!

Muse A is a successful author, known for their dark fantasy novels and heavy themes, books where sometimes, evil wins in the end. They are writing one such book when they suddenly realize that their real life is starting to mirror it, although surely the "magic" has some kind of logical explanation, of course. At first, Muse A writes it off as coincidence, until they meet Muse B, an almost perfect copy of one of Muse A's characters. As Muse A begins to fall for Muse B, they quickly realize they have to find a way to stop real life from imitating fiction before it reaches the story's climax, because not only does the dark Dragon Lord win in the end- they've already written Muse B's death into the story.
Musa A hails from the kingdom of Telperion. Or at least, they did, until The Cataclysm, when dark clouds rolled in, permanently plunging the land in darkness, and the ground shook, and fire rained from the sky and bubbled up through the cracks in the ground. And then the dragons came, creatures of claw and wing and fire that had never been seen before, who laid waste to any who had survived until them. Only a lucky few escaped Telperion alive, and they found themselves outcasts, shunned by the kingdoms who had seen Telperion's downfall and feared that they were a cursed people who would bring misfortune wherever they went. Still, Muse A has managed to eke out some semblance of a life in new lands, until Muse B appears with troubling news- the dark clouds have begun to spread, and the dragons venture forth into new lands that have not yet felt their fury. Muse B suspects fell sorcery is afoot, and suspects they know where to find the person responsible- a tower of black obsidian deep in the old lands of Telperion that is said to be the only structure left standing. Scouts have seen its shadow from a distance, but none who try to approach return- and few even of those who turn back make it out of the cursed lands alive. If Muse B is going to reach the tower, they'll need the help of someone who has experienced the horrors and knows first-hand how to survive them- they need Muse A's help.
This is set in between the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings!

The discovery of the Necromancer at Dol Guldur confirmed that the Dark Lord still lives and is growing in power. Now, his scouts and minions have been seen in another area- the ruins of what were once the kingdom of Angmar. Here, in darkness, in lands once ruled over by Morgoth himself, the Witch King of Angmar once delved deep, and built power to challenge to kingdom of Arnor. And once, it is said, he gathered great and terrible objects of power here, things crafted by elves and minions of darkness alike. Things that still lie there, somewhere deep inside his old halls. Things, it seems, that Sauron is now searching for. Concerned of what the Dark Lord might find there, but not wanting to tip their hand just yet, the White Council has assembled a team of trusted heroes to venture into the lands of old Angmar to spy on the enemy's servants, learn his purpose, and prevent any dangerous artifacts from falling into his grip. The question is, what secrets will they find there?

Well, that's all for now, folks! If anything here has caught your eye and you think we'd be good writing partners, by all means, please send me a private message and I'd be happy to talk with you and see if we'd be a good fit. I look forward to hearing from you!

Love dabbling into anything D&D related, so I'd be up for coming up with something original and D&D connected. I'm also a DM, doing both text based games and a handful of live games, so I bet we could come up with some fantastic ideas potentially. If you'd be down for coming up with something from scratch, world wise and narratively, feel free to reach out.
