Hullo and good day, fellow writers.

You may call me Amaryth, though once you make my acquaintance you may feel free to give me a nickname. I am in my mid 30's, and I'm an old hand at this writing business, though I have taken many a break due to various reasons over the years. Roleplaying became a hobby of mine nearly 20 years ago (yikes!), and a hobby that I hope to make a more permanent fixture in my routine (despite my cats', and life in general's, best efforts).

Looking to dip my toe back into group RP settings - maybe something slice-of-life or university based.

My favorite themes include:

• Fantasy/supernatural - esp. werewolves, lesser-known mythological creatures, twists on common mythologies
• Romance - esp. slow burn, soulmate, stranger to friends to oh no you've invaded my every waking moment, assholes in love
• Horror - Lovecraftian, Bram Stoker's Dracula 1992 vibes, too many to list
• Anti-hero and hero teaming up and changing each other's lives/perspectives.

Despite the very formal introduction I am a goofy fun-loving person. I love to talk to people and get to know those with similar interests.

My interests include:

• Music, of far too many varieties.
• D&D, and hoarding dice.
• My cats, your cats, all the cats.
• And dogs I suppose.
• Books. I'm currently revisiting the LotR series. I dislike most modern "romantasy" but Girl, Serpent, Thorn has been a delightful exception.

Second! I bet you're wondering how to start Role Playing and where to go! I think it's pretty fun to explore the forums, and I highly recommend doing so! Most thread homes, if not all, have a pinned post at the top of them to tell you what goes there! However, the Request Threads are pretty self explanatory; Here's a Link! There's plenty to look through, but you could also build your very own! Tell people what you're all about and get those writing partners! Take your time though; there's never any pressure!
