β character attire
Shivani wears a fitted leather tunic that provides both flexibility and protection against the many different elements and combat. Paired with the tunic is a pair of leather pants, reinforced with patches at the knees and thighs for added durability. Her boots are sturdy and knee-high, designed for comfort and silent movement through various terrains. On top of all that she wears a cloak, blueish grey in color.
Along her waist she wears a small belt laden with pouches for herbs and small hunting tools, including a small, silver dagger. Her primary choice of weaponry consists of a beautifully handcrafted bow and quiver of arrows, allowing her to strike from a distance with precision.
β childhood
As a child, Shivani grew up in a small secluded village nestled at the edge of an old forest. Her family lived a humble life, deeply connected to nature. Her mother was a herbalist and her father was a hunter. Both taught her the ways of the wild from a young age. Very early on, she learned how to track animals and people, forage for food, and understand the delicate balance of the ecosystem around her.
Her village was a place of peace and simplicity, but it was also isolated, with few visitors and little contact with the outside world. This isolation fostered a strong sense of independence in Shivani. She spent much of her time exploring the forest, developing a deep respect for its mysteries and learning to navigate its dangers.
β adolescence
When Shivani was in her early teens, a devastating plague swept through the village, claiming the lives of many people, including her parents. A small group of survivors, fearing the spread of the disease, decided to burn the village to the ground in a desperate attempt to cleanse it. Left with nothing but the clothes on her back Shivani was forced to survive on her own.
She became wary of forming close attachments, understanding that life is unpredictable and often harsh. Her experiences taught her to value balance and self-reliance above all else. She didn't seek out conflict, but she wouldn't shy away from it if necessary. Her moral compass was guided by practicality and the need to survive, rather than any particular allegiance to good or evil.
As she entered her late teens, the forest became both her sanctuary and training ground. Shivani honed her skills, becoming adept at hunting and even more so at tracking. It was around this time that she stumbled upon an injured Great Wolf pup, abandoned and left to fend for itself. Something about the creature's plight touched her heart, so Shivani nursed her back to health, affectionately dubbing her as Rize. In return, the two of them formed a close bond, becoming companions.
β adulthood
As an adult, Shivani has adopted the title as a wanderess, driven by a desire to see what lays beyond the horizon. She's travelled from place to place with Rize at her side, never staying too long in one spot. Her neutrality has allowed her to navigate the complexities of different lands and people without becoming entangled in their conflicts. Shivani has even begun offering her skills as a tracker to those in need, always moving on once her work is done.
