Who are you, how long have you been writing and what kind of things do you like to write?
I'm Geoff, and I've been writing for about a quarter-century now, give or take. As I mentioned in my introduction thread, I tend to write Marvel fandom stuff. I grew up on Claremont's run on Uncanny X-Men and New Mutants so I guess it kinda feels like home. Plus with all the MCU stuff coming out all the time, I keep getting the itch to interact with all those beloved characters. That being said, I have written in probably over a hundred of other settings over the years, some of my own creation and some other fandoms (DC, Forgotten Realms, Firefly, Highlander etc.)
I write male and female characters as the spirit moves, though I must admit I write more female overall.
How long do your replies tend to be and what is your writing schedule like?
My posts tend towards about three paragraphs on average, though it really depends on what's going on. If I feel inspired or I'm setting a particularly important scene they can get pretty lengthy, but I prefer memorable quality rather than overachievement via quantity. I also prefer dialogue to feel natural, rather than massive filibuster-level walls of text.
As far as my schedule goes, these days I can definitely manage a post per day in most cases, though I have on occasion buried even the most dedicated scene partner in posts. Unintentionally of course. :)
What is your tolerance level for gore? Violence?
I handle gore with aplomb for the most part, though really I'm not a fan of going into excessive detail. If it's important from a forensic perspective or as the horrific exception rather than the rule, I can deal, but I'm not fond of gratuitous levels of blood and guts.
Do you write sexual content? If so, what are your kinks? Limits?
I can (and do, on occasion) write sexual content though I must admit I find myself leaning heavily towards romance over smut these days. 'Insert tab a into slot b' type stuff really doesn't resonate with me anymore Anything that serves the story and character development is good though and a character's sexuality is a huge part of their persona sometimes. So as with most things, the scene/story/character needs should decide. As with gore, gratuitous levels of sex just feels tacky to me.
As far as limits goes, if it serves the story I'm generally okay. If there are any doubts check via pm.
Do you write any fandoms? (Please bear in mind that any characters under 18 and any high school settings must be aged up)
As mentioned previously Marvel (both MCU and non) are home for me, but I'm willing to give other things a shot.
