Site-02 Orientation Document
Welcome to Black Mesa Research Facility Site-02, the newest and only other facility to ever be constructed. The main purpose of Site-02 is to continue Black Mesa's work and make developments and discoveries that change the world as humanity knows it once again. Site-02 is not as large and expansive as the first Black Mesa Research Facility was but still is entirely self-sufficient and over 30,000 square acres, located under Mount McKinley, Alaska. The facility itself is the most well protected and secure facility in North America, more secure than the first facility was, including updated security technology that has never been seen before. Research funding is nearly limitless and tools and resources are highly advanced to make research options and ideas unlimited.
As an employee here at Black Mesa [EXCLUDING ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF AND SECURITY/S.O.U PERSONNEL], you are to stay in the living quarters at Sector-A and use the elevator-tram systems for transportation throughout the facility. Sector-B is the Administrative Offices and living quarters of most high ranking personnel. Sector-B is for archiving all of the facilities work and documents, protocol and procedure development, off-site project and assignment planning, and business conducted between partnered corporations and organizations.
Sector-C is meant for highly advanced technology research and development, storage of highly advanced weaponry and devices, is where the facilities main computer systems and are located, and where the robotics center is located. Sector-D is for biological research for the benefit of mankind, storage and containment of biological entities, and study of viruses, diseases, and illnesses. Projects and assignments in these sectors are to be approved through speaking with the Board of Research Administration in Sector-B and must be given a 8/14 vote.
Sector-E is used as an engineering bay and is equipped with an expansive storage area, an extensive workshop with highly advanced technology for construction and repair of machinery and is right next to Sector-F, the facilities infirmary equipped with state-of-the-art surgical machinery, a pharmaceutical science wing, and immense amounts of medical emergency equipment.
Sector-G is the sector that houses and trains all of the facility's security and S.O.U personnel. Sector-G holds numerous barracks, an extensive armoury, an expansive training area, and [MORE INFORMATION WILL BE PROVIDED ABOUT SECTOR-M IF WITHIN THE SECURITY/S.O.U BRANCH OF THE BLACK MESA RESEARCH FACILITY].
There are a number of other Sectors within the facility but they shall remain unnamed unless directly having access to the Sectors for occupational reasoning or special access is granted...

AS A BLACK MESA SCIENTIST… You are to work on assignments and projects assigned to the designated sector (Sector-C, Sector-D, and occasionally Sector-F) you are a part of. Use the resources and tools available to you to make progress in your given assignments and possibly make discoveries of your own. If you show propitious results, there is a possibility of being promoted to research supervisor. Research supervisors are responsible for creating various research projects and assignments, correcting mistakes, using results accordingly, and developing what was intended to be developed.
AS A BLACK MESA ENGINEER… You are responsible for responding to intercom calls to sectors in need of repairs, transporting heavy machinery from Sector-E for repairs, constructing facility devices and machinery that DO NOT relate to research unless called specifically for that purpose (Usually research related devices are handled by Sector-C research staff), and development/repair of utilities, new districts, new sectors, and new areas throughout the facility. You are to also listen to all assignments and orders given from the Head Engineer. Engineers are also granted access to Sector-Ω, the facilities power supply, an electromagnetic particle accelerator (circular) that has
AS A BLACK MESA MEDICAL PERSONNEL… You are to stay within the highly advanced medical bays and infirmeries throughout the facility while working unless called to a different area for emergency medical work. You are responsible for performing medical tasks fitting your field of expertise (Ex: Surgeries if your field is surgery, Brain work if your field is neurology, Pharmacist work if your field if pharmacology, etc…). Know that the lives of the facility personnel are in your hands and you MUST be prepared to save them at all costs.
AS A BLACK MESA SECURITY OFFICER… You are responsible for the safety of all personnel in the facility, you are to patrol the facility, be stationed at checkpoints for checking ID's, accompany research staff during testing, follow all emergency procedures, and eliminate threats before S.O.U has to get involved. You are to stay in Sector-M for regular training and for living arrangements. You have access to a variety of weapons in the armoury that you must get access to from the Security Captain and you must listen to all orders given from high ranking staff. Protect all personnel in the facility at ALL costs.
AS AN S.O.U (SPECIAL. OPERATION. UNIT.) AGENT… You are responsible for all external operations and emergency situations including locating and transporting resources, finding and containing anomalies, stopping security breaches and preventing Mass Destruction Protocols from occurring if at all possible. S.O.U Agents stay in various bunkers around Mount McKinley and prevent trespassers, survey the land, and secure the area. You answer to the S.O.U Captain and the Facility Directors.
