Plots
King A has been married to Queen B for many years. It was an arranged marriage. Neither had a choice. As Queen B grew in beauty, King A found his feelings much changed. And their time in bed together changed him, too. Together they had children, but Queen B grew distant. She stopped visiting King A's chambers and found more than one excuse to escape from King A's presence. King A has grown frustrated with his wife. He misses her companionship, but more than that he misses her body. He wants her with him at his side. Queen B's deception, however, goes further than he knows. Instead of sharing her husband's bed, she has been sharing that of another man.
This plot would work best with multiple characters. It is very much inspired by the TV showKnightfall.

Hello, hello! I'm cake. You can call me cake. I've been roleplaying for awhile, but I'm new-ish to the site. I took a hiatus from roleplaying for a time, but looking to get back into writing. I update this thread periodically adding/removing plots and pairings. If you have any questions about me or anything below, don't hesitate to shoot me a message!
Quality over quantity always, but I usually write a minimum of 400 words (2-3 paragraphs) and I expect the same from my partners. Everyone gets writer's block sometimes, but generally I like some significant meat to my writing. I'm wordy, what can I say. Spelling and grammar are important, but after majoring in linguistics I find comprehension to be most important. I will probably still be annoyed by constant errors, though, oops.
Story trumps smut. Character and plot development are more important to me than smut. Smut should be secondary to the plot, that is all. Also, just generally uninterested in writing graphic sex scenes. If it serves a purpose, maybe, otherwise I can do without it.
No to gore. No to... probably a lot of things that I don't even know exist or what it's called. You should just double check things with me before you do it. That said I'm pretty open-minded, so chuck whatever my way (the worst that can happen is I say no).
I am a girl, but I am comfortable playing both male and female characters. I love having more than just two characters in the story, so I'm always down to have well-thought out side characters to toss in and drum up conflict! I'm not super interested in doubling mains, but if the story's interesting enough for me or if the plot calls for it I can be persuaded. (Not interested in harem-style roleplays).

I like to think I'm pretty friendly, so OOC plotting and chatting is something I really enjoy. It would be nice if you did, too! You want to vent about your annoying coworker? I'm here to commiserate! You want to talk about your favourite shows? I love adding more things to my watchlist! You want to plot character backstories or future plot points? You had me at plotting, baby.
Open to using Discord for OOC and plotting purposes (not interested in roleplaying there) if that's your style. I will only give my username to active roleplay partners.

Plots
This plot would work best with multiple characters. It is very much inspired by the TV show
In the hills of the Ara Denatha the ever-living ones—the sidhe—make their home. Forced into obscurity when the sons and daughters of Cù Anir lay waste to their peoples and lands. For five hundred years they have lived beneath the hills, but long have they yearned to return to the home of their ancestors and reclaim that which was stolen from them.
Each year on the eve of the thirteenth day in the thirteenth month, the children of the Denatha emerge from their home in the hills to dance above ground once more. It is a day the mortals fear, for the sidhe are bitter and prejudiced against them. It often happens a mortal soul goes missing on this day—kidnapped—stolen to the vast halls beneath the green hills. What becomes of these poor creatures? Some say they are eaten alive, others say they are sacrificed to the devil, the truth is a mystery to all but those who have been called beneath.
Time moves differently between the world of mortal men and the sidhe, many humans have been released to find their families dead and gone a hundred years, others taste the fruit and never leave the halls of the Denatha again—integrating into their society.
It is once again the eve of the thirteenth day in the thirteenth month. Night descends upon the village of Imris, the bell tolls at the watchman's gate, all the doors are windows bolted shut. An eerie quiet descends. But there is one among the humans who has tarried too long and now they find themselves shut out of their own village and their own home... Will they make it through the night unscathed?
This plot would center around one of the fae/elves and a kidnapped human. It is inspired by various celtic myths. Alternatively, a changeling can have returned after reaching maturity in the human realm and as reward receive the hand in marriage of one of the fae royals.

Character A was destined for the Church. They have been raised in the sacred confines of a convent. But something dark has always seemed to be calling them from the depths of the Black Forest. As they are cleaning the dust and cobwebs from a neglected corner of the library, they discover an ancient, magical tome. Drawn to it instinctively, they open the pages and are immediately captivated by the flowering calligraphy. Somewhat ashamed of their fascination, yet pulled by some mystical string of fate, they hide the book away. Later, when night has fallen, they sit with what remains of a candlestick burning on their bedside table. They read the strange words, the incantations, the riddles. Unbeknownst to yourself you utter the strange language out loud and suddenly the world around you begins to move in and out, as if time and space are bending. You grow nauseous. Images flicker through your mind painting a fragmented portrait. The world zooms around you and when it slows you are no longer in your cell. You stand before a great estate deep with a dark forest. You see a figure move against a dimly background in a tower window. Is it all a dream? Will it all fade when you wake?
Curious, you approach the large doors. They open with only the slightest touch. A great hall greats you, but the smell of roast duck pulls you into a small drawing room to the right. A table is laid with all manner of delicacies and a fire burns in the hearth. Suddenly overcome with drowsiness, Character A stumbles to a lavish armchair, their eyes closing as they are enveloped in its velvet cocoon.
You hear the words whispered faintly in your ear as you slip away into slumber, "At last, my child, you have returned to us..."
Dark magic, Phantom of the Opera-esque. Inspired by Nox Arcana's Theater of Illusions Album, among other things. I have some more ideas which can be discussed if the plot is of interest to you.
