Hello and welcome to my search thread!
I'm Sky, and I'm currently looking for some original high fantasy roleplays. This thread is mainly looking for 1x1, but I'm open to small groups as well!
Firstly, though this is my OC/originals search thread, I do have a fandom thread going also if you're interested in that.
With that out of the way, here's some info about myself and what I'm looking for.
If you decide to contact me for a roleplay, please do so through a private message. In addition, please tell me about yourself and what characters/plots/tropes/settings you have in mind! Replies in this thread or low effort "Hi, wanna rp?" type messages will be ignored.
That's all, folks! Thanks for checking out my thread, and let me know if you'd like to write together!

With that out of the way, here's some info about myself and what I'm looking for.
➣ I'm female, 30 years of age, and have been roleplaying for over a decade on various forums.
➣ I live in the pacific timezone, though which timezone you're in doesn't matter to me.
➣ I am seeking only 21+ writing partners, no exceptions.
➣ I generally prefer shorter posts over longer ones, i.e. 2-5 paragraphs over an essay. It makes replying quicker and in my opinion makes the story flow a bit smoother. However, that's not to say that I won't pump out 15 paragraphs if I feel like that's what I need to make my point, describe the scene, make something happen, and so on. I won't expect you to mirror my post length as long as you're moving the story forward and contributing something meaningful.
➣ I write in 3rd person past tense, and would like my partner to do the same.
➣ I'm working full-time and am not going to be able to post every day. If you're looking for a fast-paced roleplay, then I'm probably not the writing partner for you, sorry. Generally I'll be around for OOC stuff, whether that's hashing out RP details, giving updates, or just casual chat.
➣ I'm happy to double.
➣ I'm comfortable playing male and female characters.
➣ Currently I'm looking mainly for MxF pairings, as that's the orientation I'm most familiar and comfortable with writing. (Your irl sex/gender/orientation does not matter to me. MxF applies to characters only.)
➣ My roleplays generally include romance between our characters as well, slow-burn style, but if our characters end up working out better as friends---fine by me.

➣ This search thread is for OCs only. If you would like to dabble in canon characters, please see my fandom thread above.
➣ I have been playing D&D 5e (and co-DMing) for several years, so I will likely base my character(s) on D&D classes, races, spells, etc. However, that doesn't mean I insist on strictly following the D&D format! I do not require fully completed character sheets or anything like that, especially if we're doing more of a freeform writing style. Some basic information or an RPR character page if you have one will probably suffice.
➣ I'm also looking for an original high fantasy setting to do this in. (Again, please refer to my fandom search thread for canon D&D stuff.)
➣ Call me basic, but I'm a sucker for a good old "save the world" type of story. I do require an overarching plot and some sort of adventure for our characters to go on.
➣ Romance between characters is great if it forms naturally, but if we spend all of our focus on romantic stuff then I'm going to get bored quickly. Same goes for slice of life elements: some is nice, too much will make me lose interest.
➣ I'm not into very dark/grimdark/edgy stuff. Not to say that I'm averse to it entirely, I'm just not really looking for the entire story to revolve around those themes. Of course characters can have dark pasts and a bit of edge, but if your character is going to be all "you wouldn't understand" and run off into the night at every turn I'm probably going to roll my eyes.
➣ Also not really into vampires, were-animals, or furries, sorry. Nothing against those who enjoy them, just not personally my thing. I'm open to having them in the supporting cast, though.
➣ I heavily prefer characters who develop throughout the story. Not to say that stagnant characters can't be interesting, but I enjoy playing and playing against characters who experience character growth. It just feels more rewarding to me if your OC and my OC are influenced by each other. I don't mean that they should be a completely different person by the end (which honestly is unrealistic in most situations), but that they've learned from their experiences and gained some wisdom, maybe changed their views on something.
➣ Please be willing to plan with me. We don't need to decide every minute detail. But there needs to be some back and forth on which characters we play, how they will meet (classic "start in a tavern"? Already acquaintances? Strangers pulled into some sort of mess and forced to stick together? Arranged marriage?), what kind of world we're in, the general plot, etc. If you like to dive right in without hashing out at least where to start, then I'm probably not the writing partner for you.

➣ Ray of sunshine meets stick in the mud
➣ Royal arranged marriage
➣ Chosen one and steadfast partner (or ditzy partner)
➣ Warrior and mage/tank and squishy
➣ Deliver/destroy the thing
➣ Keep the thing away from the enemy
➣ The cult is trying to take over the world, kill it
➣ BBEG is making a comeback (a la Voldemort)
➣ Different countries or factions come together to defeat their common enemy

➣ I do not play underage characters (with the exception of supporting cast needed for the plot or setting), and I expect the same of my writing partner.
➣ I am not looking for romance IRL. Let's keep it in-character only, please.
➣ I'm not looking for smut regardless of orientation. (As a clarification: I'm perfectly fine with our characters doing the do if the relationship and timing feels natural, but writing the whole thing out isn't my cup of tea. Fading to black is fine.)
➣ I will not write harassment or abuse of any kind between our characters, excessive blood and gore, bestiality, underage romance, or horror.
