BRICK MARCUS

🔻As Pokemon Trainer
Personality: A determined soul. Always tries to do what is right for his Pokemon and for him. But can be too trusting at times. Overall, a friendly deposition and kind eyes. He would do anything for his Pokemon and friends. Again, cause of this, he can be taken advantage of. Though he tries his best not to be overlooked or underappreciated.

Brick is a true friend to those he cares about. His Pokemon are his life. He would do anything for them.

He is not cocky but confident in his abilities as a Pokemon trainer. A fierce and somewhat stubborn competitor at he
art.

Backstory: Brick dreamed of being a Pokemon trainer, however his dream was derailed when his mother got very sick. With his father working all the time, it left Brick to stay home and watch over his mother. Which meant years went by that he wasn't a Pokemon Trainer. Most started at 10. But not him. It wasn't till his 13th birthday that his mother gifted him a cyndaquil. His mother made him promise to start his Pokemon journey and to become a Pokemon master.

But Brick stayed home till his mother passed away at age 18. With the emptiness in his heart, he remembered his promise to her.

With his mother passing, He decided to travel, to see new Pokemon and meet new people as well as battling new Trainers.

Now this journey of his is not only dedicated to his mother but with the blessing of his father. So Brick left home to explore the world and the pokemon
in it.

🔻As a Pirate (One Piece)
Personality: Same as above
Backstory: Ever since he was a little boy, Brick dreamed of becoming an officer in the Marines. However that dream was put on hold when his mother became gravely ill. With his father working long hours, it became Brick's responsibility to take care of his sick mother. But Brick never complained. And as he hit age 18, his mother made him promised that he would join the Marines. Which he did.

Though fate can be such an ironic thing. For on the day of Brick joined the Marines, his mother passed away. The reports were a huge fire erupted and burned down his home and killed his mother within. The death was ruled an accident but something told Brick there was more to it.But Brick could never figure it out.

One day Brick found and ate the Mero Mero No Mi Devil Fruit and with the power of eternal flame, Brick became quite the Marine, quickly becoming one of the youngest Marines to reach Captain.

Brick experienced so much success in the Marines. That was until that fateful day. The one where Brick found out the truth about his mother's death. His mother didn't die by accident, she or rather Brick's father was targeted by the Marines as Brick's father had unraveled a network of corruption in the Marines and was going to blow the whistle. The Marines could not allow it to happen, so they quickly attacked, setting fire to Brick's home in hopes of killing his father while making it look like an accident. Unfortunately, Brick's father wasn't home but Brick's mother was.

After such a debacle, The Marines decided best to sweep everything regarding the fire under the rug. And for longest time, only the very top officers in the Marines knew the truth. For if word came out that the Marines had actively taking part in an assassination attempt and ultimately killing an innocent civilian, the world would eat them alive.

As for Brick, he found out this truth after meeting a group of pirates who were there on that day his mother died. They told him the truth. That the Marines did it. This, of course, infuriated him. It made him sick to his stomach. And it was on that day, Brick left the Marines and vowed to make them all pay for what they had done. Becoming an outlaw of the sea; a pirate himself.
