Hello! You can call me Cautious. I've been roleplaying for as long as I can remember and part of the Sanctum for about six years.

I've found myself with more time to write (due to being laid off, womp womp) so I've decided to make a new request thread, which I'll do my best to update when my search status changes, my muse shifts, or I come up with new plot ideas. I'm hoping my schedule won't become rigid again, but if it does I'll be sure to keep this thread (and, more importantly, my active partners) updated.

Let's get to it!

I'm only comfortable writing with other women who are 21+.

I'm hoping to have fun and better my writing, so I'd love to write with people around my level/a bit above me. Feel free to stalk my page for writing examples.

I'm naturally very direct and that translates into my writing. I'm trying to increase my word count without feeling like I'm writing filler, but currently average around 400 words. Of course, my responses vary depending on where the plot is (ex: dialogue-heavy posts will be shorter/story setups will be longer). All that to say, I need someone who's okay with that word count.

On that note, I'm not picky on your post length so long you give me something to work with. :)

Life is crazy. I totally understand if you can't post for extended periods, but I'd appreciate a heads-up.

While chatting OOC isn't necessary, I'd like to at least discuss plot ideas. As much as I wish I could just go with the flow, I loooove getting invested in the details and planning ahead.
ROMANCE. <3 All my stories center around it and I love being as dramatic as possible within the context of the story.

I prefer MxF pairings and usually write from the male perspective, but I can happily do either.

I'm not super comfortable writing smut so I tend to keep it minimal.

Before we jump in, I like to have a general plot outline and basic character sheets. That's not to say I'm not flexible -- I love to discuss subplot ideas/details along the way -- but I like to have an idea of where the story will go and something to reference for basic information.

In the tabs below, I've included plot ideas as well as my favorite settings, tropes, and pairings. I'm also always interested in building a story from scratch or taking a look at your plot ideas!

  • The Prince of Illea (MC) has to get married and he isn't happy about it. He'd been (reluctantly) engaged before, but his bride-to-be passed away a few weeks before they were to be married. Since then, he's only become more disillusioned by the idea of falling in love and living happily ever after. The last thing he wants is a palace full of women harboring the misguided idea that he wants a fairy tale with one of them.

Knowing the country would only view their son as grieving and fiercely loyal, the King and Queen reluctantly allowed him to put off the Selection as long as possible. That ended after the King suffered a health scare, causing them to fear their reign ending.

A month later and there are thirty-five women suddenly living in his home with the intention of winning his heart, and with it, the crown. None them know he plans to select a partner based on very specific criteria that have nothing to do with love. YC is the opposite of what he is looking for, yet for some reason he finds himself unable to send her home.
