And just to get a little bit about me out of the way~
Rourke Volkov | "Wanna go for a ride?"

As the eldest child of an extremely wealthy and influential business magnate with ties to the Russian mafia, Rourke has had high expectations placed on his shoulders since the day he was born. Unfortunately, he has failed to meet many of them— most egregriously of all, by being born female when his father desired a son. This specific biological fact is a highly-guarded secret known only to the most immediate of family members, and Rourke has lived his entire life as male, having begun hormone replacement therapy under the table immediately at the onset of puberty. Because there is yet little research on this therapy at the time of this story, the dose he takes is slightly too high for him, and as a result he is extremely aggressive and prone to outbursts and mood swings.
Despite his father's desperate attempts to control him and steer him toward respectable hobbies and interests, his rebellion has come in the form of resisting nearly all of it. While very gifted academically, he has never applied his intelligence to anything worthwhile in favor of making ill-advised and risky decisions in search of some degree of stimulation for his overactive mind. He is an adrenaline junkie. He likes fast cars, he likes to fight and, most embarrassingly of all to his father, he likes men— an interest he continues to indulge with little discretion in spite of his arranged betrothal to a woman from another equally powerful family, whom despises him as much as he despises her.
Because of the secret of his biology and the risk that this secret might be discovered by anyone outside of the family (or anyone inside of the family who is not privy to this information already), he has spent every full moon he can remember locked inside of a specially-designed safe room to keep him from encountering any other member of the family or a rival pack in this vulnerable state. He has additionally been forbidden from transforming into a werewolf outside of the full moon— as a result, his ability to shift on demand has completely atrophied.
He resents his father strongly, even if he can appreciate the unique privilege that being the eldest son of a powerful man grants him— even if he has had very little control over his own life.
He dotes on his younger sister, Nadia, and in some regard likes to live vicariously through her, for she is not subject to the same pressures he has had to endure for his entire life.

Rourke is my newest character who, upon making him, I immediately fell in love with. Some of his backstory may seem a bit dated or odd, but that's intentional, because the storyline he was made for takes place in the mid-80s, baby! I may be open to updating him to a more modern time period if absolutely required, but that would take some convincing honestly, because so many elements of his backstory and character are tied into a very tumultuous point in time. It would honestly be easier for me to remove the fact he's a werewoof, lmao.

- I live in the Central time zone and work from home-- I have a lot of free time.
- I love to write (duh), and when hooked on an RP, I can write a lot. You have no idea. I passed the 150k word mark with a specific long-term partner in less than a month after starting an RP with her. While I'm not asking you to match that volume, I definitely want someone who will get as Enthusiastic about things as me and will reply regularly if we really hit it off. The beginning of an RP is the most critical part for me-- if the plot is good I can get super into it and reply multiple times a day, so if you can match my energy, that would be ideal.
- Re: writing. My average post is like 300-1000 words.
- Kind of related to the above, I like to be friends OOC. I will definitely make a Discord server for OOC chat if you are amenable to that, and it will have a billion channels for inspo pics, character pics, plotting, etc
- For all intents and purposes for this search, I don't really have limits that would be relevant to what might reasonably covered in the plot.
- My sole preference that absolutely should and will be covered here is violence, possibly to a gratuitous level, possibly (hopefully?) during the sex part. This character in specific isn't necessarily a masochist, but he is extremely used to violence, grew up in crime culture and has done terrible things himself, has been abused from an early age, and did get shot through the stomach six times in the first RP I played him in and the wound regenerated in the time that it took him to drive home, so do the MATH.

- He drives a Jaguar XJS V12, antelope brown finish, mulberry red leather interior. It is his pride and joy and he takes meticulous care of it. He has been given an obscene number of speeding tickets; because his dad's administrative assistant takes care of such things, he would not be able to tell you how many he's gotten if you had a gun to his head.
- He smokes. Specifically, he smokes Barclay brand cigarettes, and he smokes those because they sponsor his favorite F1 team.
- Polyglot. In addition to English, he speaks Russian and is fluent in Japanese. He learned the latter specifically and only because it makes getting around easier when he travels to Japan every two years to attend the Tokyo Motor Show.

- We could capitalize on the whole werewolf thing by adding vampires into the mix. Always fun.
- The ever popular ~kidnapping plot~ in which he is snagged by a member of a rival criminal organization.
- He could run afoul of a hunter of werewolves or other supernatural entities?
- An encounter with a rival werewolf?!
