LOOKING FOR A WRITING PARTNER

hello, i’m currently craving a knight-inspired setting like crazy, which is why i’m looking for a writing partner who’d like to share that enthusiasm with me and keep an active rp going. i’d rather mention upfront that i’m a very plot-oriented writer. if you’re looking for an exclusively smut-focused rp, i’m definitely not the right person for you.

i’m an active writer and would consider myself a novella writer as well. that said, i’m not looking to write 1,000+ words for every single post, and for a change, i’d actually love an rp where replies can be much shorter, especially when our characters are directly interacting.

i really enjoy communicating, plotting and building our world and story together. i write in third person, past tense. the more invested i am in a plot, the faster i tend to reply, sometimes even daily depending on the circumstances. i can’t promise that one hundred percent of the time, though, and i definitely wouldn’t expect the same from you.

EXPECTATIONS

you should be over the age of 21 and also write in third person, past tense. i’m looking for someone who can write longer replies when the scene calls for it, though on average, even my “shorter” posts tend to fall somewhere between 300–500 words.

even if i said a few sentences ago that i don’t expect daily replies, i am still looking for someone who is active and consistent. i can’t really work with one reply every few months, especially when we’ve only just started and it takes weeks to move past the very first scene. so please don’t reach out just for the sake of it. the time that goes into worldbuilding, character sheets, and planning is too valuable to me to invest all of that only to get ghosted after two or three replies.

when it comes to ghosting itself, i’m actually pretty chill about it. i don’t expect you to explain yourself to me, and i’m not going to demand an explanation either, even though i’d obviously appreciate it if someone lets me know. everyone handles these things differently, and that’s completely fine.

preferably, i’d like someone who isn’t juggling too many rps at the same time and can actually put some time and energy into ours.

please be creative and communicate with me. tell me what you want, what you don’t want, what ideas you have and what you’d like to explore. i don’t want to constantly be the one introducing every single scene and essentially steering the entire plot on my own, so i’m looking for someone who can take initiative and contribute ideas of their own as well.

➥ first and most important: our characters must be at least 25 years old (+cis). i do not write main characters younger than that.
➥ for face claims, i’d prefer digital art only, no real-life references. the characters should also visibly look like adults, with an adult face and adult body.
➥ no-gos:
*no excrement
*no incest or any form of inbreeding, including cousins of any degree, as well as stepsiblings/stepcousins
*no necrophilia
*no noncon between our characters
*no bestiality, including “disguised” bestiality where a character has overly strong animalistic traits
*no shapeshifting from human into a literal animal
*no creatures that are essentially talking animals
*no furry

PLOTS

i have to disappoint you a little here because i don’t have any concrete plot ideas at the moment, only some general themes and directions i’d like to explore.

overall, i’m looking for a fantasy, fictional historical setting where one of the important characters is a knight. whether i play the knight or you do honestly doesn’t matter to me. who the second mc would be depends on the direction we decide to take the plot in and, of course, the pairing.

some of the ideas i had in mind were:

➥ knight x nobleman/lord
the knight could be sent to the nobleman’s estate or duchy and, for whatever reason, be required to remain there for a while. i already have a few political ideas that could be worked into this, but that’s something we can discuss privately and build on together.

edit: two more plots fell through, so i have a few new pairing ideas:

knight x war prisoner: i already have a more developed plot/character in mind involving a widowed general/knight, whatever fits best, who, after his kingdom wins a war, is ordered to house a prisoner of war, either a prince or another high-ranking figure from the defeated enemy kingdom. the story could go in a lot of different directions from there.

i’d also really love to work on a plot where two characters who were once unrequitedly in love with each other meet again after years apart and are forced to work together for whatever reason. we could build an good rp around that. i already have a few ideas for it, but, like i said, we can discuss all of that privately.

other themes/settings i really enjoy: vampires, demons, the victorian era, the ottoman empire, feudal japan, knighthood, the joseon dynasty, medieval europe, plagues, kingdoms, wars/conflicts, court intrigue, class conflicts, revenge, christianity, the occult, imperialism, game of thrones, and so on…
