The kingdom of Whitefall had been a peaceful place for many years, the king had always kept peace across the lands and would always try to help those he could, taking in sick and wounded, helping those too poor to fend for themselves, but all good things get destroyed eventually, whilst the king sets about helping those in need, the gates of the underworld begin to open, seeping from the deep dark depths of the ground monsters and demons spill from the gates and begin to lay waste to all those that get in the way, the kings attention is drawn and he summons his army to combat the hoarde storming across his lands, pushing back the darkness to the gate the king and his men take a last stand to seal the gate once more.
Lloyd is tasked with holding the monsters within the underworld untill a solution can be found to seal the gate, hours of battle scar the land on either side of the gate as each side is forced to retreat and then attack once more, but finally the gate is sealed, in the unfortunate event Lloyd is trapped in the underworld, captured and cursed with a dark power.
A year passes, the king tries many things to retrieve his lost captain, he searches books and ancient scrolls for clues and for reasons of the underworlds attack, but nothing is known.
Five years on and Lloyd is released into the world once more, cursed to serve the darkness, can he be saved of his curse or will it take control, forcing him to break open the gate between worlds once more.
