Kelvin Atticus Goldsmith
Age: 25
Occupation: Wizard
Domicile: The wastes of Ingary: The Devils Causeway Lighthouse by the Cerulean sea.
Origin: Motalbino
The Goldsmith family hails from a long line of wizards and witches that uncovered turning Lead into Gold from the ancient times of discovering magic. It was magic at the beginning of all wondrous discoveries which was done by no other than a man known as Fleming Stone Goldsmith, the best philosopher of his time and the first wizard. Fleming established himself in Montalbino , which borders High Norland, where he continued his astronomy research and boost the townships economy with gold. It is the base of the largest astronomy tower anyone has ever seen that was built between Fleming's four sons. The secret of turning lead into Gold has been passed down for generations only within the family, as the ability has been protected by blood magic.
With the boost in economy Motalbino established and operated the train system between all the neighboring kingdoms where they get serviced. After the war the tracks have been destroyed and the cost of reparations may not be in any kingdoms best interest to make repairs on something that took decades to build.
Kelvin Atticus Goldsmith is the only child to a witch named Alyssa Lilith Goldsmith who was banished to the wastes after her entanglement with married Wizard of unknown rapport; it was rumored to be a court wizard from an unknown kingdom. It was not a serious crime in regards to magic but she did use a love potion to seduce the wizard in order to produce a child of high magical pedigree. It had been twenty five years since she was banished to the wastes of Ingary and ultimately died at childbirth as her powers were limited to even saving her own life.
The Devils Causeway is a horrifying light house at the edge of the wastes next to the sea, the blackened oozing slime stone walled structure was an eye sore to sea ships that drew near, the bright green eerie glow of a flame at the top of the glass chamber could be seen for miles as a warning to all that it was an evil lair. Alyssa placed a trust curse for anyone who entered the lighthouse in order to protect her son prior to his birth. Intruders who risked leaving would lose their lives and theirs souls added to the green flames to warn others to stay away.
Out of pity the unknown court wizard appointed several caregivers for Kelvin to live his days in the lighthouse. However, in order to keep the child's father's identity secret the caregivers were unable to speak about him or the Kingdom at all. A maid named Josephine who has gradually becoming blind raised the boy. A chimera wizard named Gulliver, who merged with a seagull, taught Kelvin magic and ran errands into towns for supply runs. A light fairy that belonged to Alyssa in her old home was brought over as a housekeeper of the lighthouse.
Kelvin grew up annoyed at everything and especially his caregivers for keeping him isolated in the lighthouse, he found it unfair to be kept in the wastes, and traveled as much as he could to relieve his frustrations but he was barred at the gates of every kingdom. A black list had prevented him from entering as a premeasure of never being able to pinpoint which kingdom he hailed from.
Until the war broke out, the seals at every gate were broken, it was his only opportunity to recover several magical relics in search of something but nothing at all; it was shortly after collecting the first two items that he held an interest in collecting magical items as a hobby. As it was unknown how long the war would go on for he calculated his next move. After procuring the amulet of Escandor his goal of gathering magic items were a breeze, Kelvin was adept in finding magic items with a sixth sense, and most of them were not in the possession of any witch or wizard aside from their dead bodies after losing the fight.
In no time, Goldsmith had quite the treasure trove of magic items, if anyone caught a glimpse of him he vanished before their eyes with the aid of Escandor, and when the war ended he was never seen again. With peace restored after the return of the promised Prince, the kingdoms were rebuilt, the blacklist enacted, and Kelvin was but a rumor under several names. Many wizards and witches had forgotten about Alyssa Lilith Goldsmith since the very memory of her had been forcefully erased to all except Kelvin and his caregivers. Without any contact with wizardry society this detail of his mother's memory being revoked is unknown to him and if he were ever to learn of it all hell would break loose.
