my eyes are W I D E,
but i cannot see.
can you hear me?
can YOU hear me?
i open my mouth.
i scream, i scream and shout.
but nothing comes out.
even if you leant your ear,
with my own- i cannot hear.
i reach for-
but my grasp is never quite long enough,
or strong enough.
the smell is sickly sweet,
and the taste of doubt
rots

being,
but try as i might-
i can't spit it out.
